Kevin had decided at some point during his long wait to take a little nap and perhaps when he was awake, he would start thinking of things related to his task. He laid down and had been sleeping really soundly as clearly his excessive worrying had exhausted his brain when at some point, his phone started ringing. He did not recognize the sound of his phone as he was really exhausted when suddenly, he recalled the meaning of an ultimate price. No way would he be dying this way. Meredith had been all about the young man she had met at the gym with her friends the other day. She had never been known to be a coward when it comes to approaching men but then, when it came to Kevin, she had to sort stuff out. Her friends also had interest in him and that had to include the relentless Trisha. Every other person had decided to back down for the leader of their little sorority except her deputy which was something she could not have.Having a deputy who defies you is like having a firecracker stuck into your ass. Sometimes, it would explode and leave you bare. Meredith decided that they would have a little face off and leave the rest of them to determine the winner. Both ladies had to come up with an idea for their next fundraiser which was happening in a few days after they had seen him. Being seated from his next task was really something to him as he could feel the etches of excitement spiralling around him. He wanted so badly to complete this task especially as it came with relief at the end. Not to mention also, there was a reward.One would say that Kevin was beginning to enjoy the whole thing about completing his tasks allotted by the system and anticipating carefully. He had seen how vain she had tried to be even as she pretended to be modest about her behavior. Seriously, what was it with women and being so petty? He found himself wondering.She had gotten them a seat in the back strategically when she could have pulled them something much better than that. Clearly, her reasons were impure but she cared less. Finally, the endless torture of a movie night had come to an abrupt end and Kevin realized that it took him a while to get a feel of his legs. He had turned surreptitiously at Meredith who has been playing the dumb one at the moment. How she had managed to remain calm and act like nothing had happened actually baffled him but since she was not talking about it, who was he then to make mention of it or anything of the sorts.She walked away from the theatre while he followed her carefully until they were fully out of the cinema."You've been staring at me, why?" Kevin felt really excited as he walked away from her hostel after agreeing to meet with her. He was beginning to understand the womenfolk or so he thought as it seemed like they actually had the capability to steer emotions and direct things they way they actually wanted. Clearly, it was not always the male in control but the female who held the reins of every relationship. And here he had been thinking that everything had to be initiated from the very beginning by the man and steered into the path he dictated.Kevin hailed down a cab and he went back home. Kevin stood there for a moment or two with his hands to his sides. Clearly, he had not been anticipating that move from her. The plan had been to lure her and keep her so entertained that when he finally strikes, he would have free access to her. How could he have detected that she would throw herself at him all so willingly?A couple of moments and he realized that he was slipping on his part as a man. It and not going to be easy and so, he needed the help of his best buds if he was going to learn anything least he flops and makes a spectacle of himself.Allen had noted that the coach was probably not going to add him up to the team and might keep him as a reserve as that tournament was one that would qualify them for the regionals
