He made up his mind eventually as he had stuff to do. Kevin had managed to put himself in order and looked at the mirror, although he was not impressed seeing himself, he was okay with his looks. At least, he could pass for a person's date. He stood in front of the mirror as he now tried rehearsing how he would talk to her when he saw her that evening. He practiced smiles and gestures but then, his soul was dampened and his eyes lowered. He was not at all confident and was wondering how he would pull this off when his eyes fell on his wrist watch. The time was already going fast and he needed to get her to go on this date with him. He quickly buttoned his shirt sleeves and grabbed his jacket as he stepped out onto the street.
Kevin knew that he would be spending a lot at the hotel but he just needed to get the right cab that would fit into his budget. He glanced around until he found one that seemed to suit his purpose. The cab driver was sleeping from the obvious boredom of having no passengers with his hat over his face. He had adjusted his seat so he could recline and sleep with his legs against the steering wheel. Kevin crossed the street road and went over to meet him as he gently tapped on his window. The man barely moved and he tapped a little louder causing him to suddenly get up and his legs struck the horn as he managed to sit up.
The sound of the horn had been too sudden that Kevin nearly jumped. A dog barked in the distance. The man lowered his window glass as his pinky finger wriggled around his nose in search of dirt. Kevin felt irritated but composed himself.
"Hey, what do you want lad?" the man asked him.
"I was wondering if I could hire your services. I have to go pick someone up and be somewhere." he said to the man.
The man looked at him for his head to toe and then up again as he broke into a smile.
"This a date, boy?" he asked him in a weird accent.
"Well, sort of. Are you going or not?" Kevin asked him.
"Alright boy. Where are we headed?" the man asked.
This was cool actually. Kevin explained it to him and they reached a price. Kevin got into the back as the man drove. He had already agreed that they would pick up Alice and then head for the hotel. From time to time, the can driver would stare at him from the rear view mirror and it kept happening until Kevin began to feel anxious.
"Why do you keep staring at me?" Kevin asked him.
"Who? Me? I'm sorry. I was only wondering, you know." the man said.
"Wondering about what?" Kevin asked him.
"Well, the hotel you're headed to. It fucking expensive and you can barely afford a good cab." the man said.
"Are you trying to say you're not a good cab yourself, sir?" Kevin asked him. He was not enjoying the probing as his mind was wrapped around his timing. He needed to take her out this date seriously and at least get her to see through it with him. Now was not the time for him to entertain unnecessary discussions and he did not mind dissing.
"Of course not young mister. I'm an excellent ride. But you'll see what I mean when you get to the hotel." the man said and that was it.
They drove in silence for a while until they arrived at Alice's home which apparently was also Vanessa's home. He went to the porch and pressed the door bell. Twice he pressed and just when he was beginning to give up all hopes of her going with him, the door yanked open. He turned fully with a smile that dampened the moment he saw it was actually Vanessa at the door.
"Yes?" she asked, placing her hands against the sides of the door, jutting her breast out.
Kevin was not moved. He now harbored this feeling of anger against her and would very much want to bring her pain if possible. The embarrassment she had cost him was more than enough to send him overboard.
"Is Alice ready?" he asked.
She remained silent regarding him from head to toe and then started with a chuckle.
"You know, you never dressed this cool when you were with me." she noted.
"Maybe, you were not worth seeing me this cool." he said to her, matching her sarcasm.
Vanessa started laughing.
"You're funny. Tell me Kevin, who burrowed you the outfit and what did you have to do to get it? Let me guess, you sucked him off or he did it for real?" she asked in her annoying crackling tone.
"Please, can you just let Alice know I'm here?" Kevin asked her.
"Alright sissy boy. Alice, your date is here with some rickety car. I suggest you change into an armor lest you get wounded." she shouted.
They stood there glaring at each other with so much hate until Alice came. She looked really beautiful in her outfit that Kevin himself was totally floored. He looked at her as he sought for words to say but found none as the lady was certainly dashing.
"You look stunning," he said to her.
"Thanks, Kevin. You do not look bad yourself." she said to him.
They were staring at each other when Vanessa broke into their moment with her taunting voice.
"Well Cinderella, you should see the archaic ride your prince charming brought to take you to the ball with." she pointed out.
Alice had just noticed the car and held in the laughter in her mind that was threatening to spill out. She glanced at her sister with a serious face now.
"Leave the man be, Vanessa." she said.
"Shall we?" Kevin asked, giving her his arm.
"Oh yes please. He's such a gentleman, Vanessa." Alice said as they walked away. She had turned and winked at her sister.
"We're here." The cab man said as they arrived in front of the really big five star hotel."Thank you, good sir." Kevin said as he paid the man up and watched as Alice got off from her side of the car. Initially, he had been expecting that she would wait so he could go round and open the door for her as that was something he usually did with Vanessa back in the days. She would sit back in the car and wait on him to come get her side of the door but clearly, Alice was different. He smiled at her and watched as the driver zoomed off with the car before going to stand shyly beside her."We're here." He muttered barely audible."Yes. I sort of doubted you when you said we would be coming here actually." She said with a smile."Really? I do hope you are happy with what you see." He said to her."Oh, trust me, I am pleased with everything. I should apologize to you for doubting your capabilities." She said to him. She knew her mode of attack would be to play him smooth."Well, you did give
"Your order, Miss." The waiter said to her as she was yet to make a choice.Kevin had been of good knowledge not to make his order first as he did not want to fall short in her eyes when he would place an order beneath what she would be having. He wanted to match with her prowess and would not place his order. Alice had been looking around for what she would order and then she marked her target. She pretended to look up at him first of as she waited for him to say something so she could weigh his pockets but instead, he was asking her."What would you be having?" She asked him smiling mischievously."Me? I do not know. I'm waiting on you to decide for us." He said to her and she smiled."Alright then, waiter I think we would be having number seven." She said as she handed him the menu.Kevin was curious about what she had ordered really but luckily for him, the waiter had spoken loudly of what she had ordered."That would be Lobster trap truffle mac and cheese at $195. How about you
He sat down there for sometime after she had left scared to death. Yes death because that was what awaited him. Kevin could not understand what the system was all about as it had read that he should go out with the most beautiful girl and that he had done successfully. There was nothing from that end and he was no certain what he was doing wrong. Perhaps, it wanted him to first finish the date and then reward him but as he checked his watch, he realized his time was fast speeding by and he would soon lose his life. There was no telling if she had left and he had been so dumb not to stop her from leaving with her purse. But who was he to deprive the lady of her stuff. There was every possibility that she had already gone away as she had shown signs of doubting his capabilities. However, Kevin could not understand if he was cursed or something. He never asked for this. Yes, he did want to hang out with the top beauties and for once in his miserable life, be the center of attention but n
"Are you okay?" She asked him when she looked up and caught him cleaning his sweat this time with his sleeves.Actually, she had noticed long before now but wanted to pretend as if she had not noticed what he was going through at the moment. Now way, she had noted his uneasiness and did not know what to attribute it to other than the fact he probably could not pay but like the coward he was, he could not speak up. No way would he embarrass her in this place. "Trust me, I'm fine. I'm just excited and that's why I'm sweating." He said and she knew he was lying. He was already ugly to her but he did not look so good right now. It was almost like he was actually growing faint and weak. Fear sure did have it's perks. There was no discussion between them as she could see he was longing to start something with them. She decided to seek assistance and picked out her phone as she sent a message to Vanessa saying they were eating now but she had run out of what to talk about as all she had pla
He did not know just the reason why he was doing this right now but he seemed to have is crafty wicked mind at work with these things and it pleased him greatly. Having her return after all these years was something that excited him as he recalled how much he had wanted her more. Mickey had always sired these emotions for Alice that were just too strong to keep within and he had been finding it hard to contain them. She seemed like the kind of girl that would get one in trouble but he did not care at all. So long as he was in trouble with her.But then, there was Vanessa. Sweet unsuspecting Vanessa. She still had no idea of what was developing and now ongoing between he and Alice and she will never know. He had vowed to make certain of that. He just wanted to pass his time playing with the both girls but then, he knew that where he wanted to keep Vanessa as his girlfriend still, Alice was not that girl.He was supposed to meet up with Alice that night after her date was supposed to g
And finally, the system was speaking to him once again which was surprisingly strange. He had not expected it to be this way and at this point in time when it was almost late for him. He needed to get his time alone and then seeing that they were nearly done with the main course, he excused himself to use the restroom."I think it's my turn to use the restroom." He said to her."Are you okay?" She asked him."Yes. I'm full and need to ease myself. Would be back in a jiffy." He said to her."Alright." She said and smiled as Kevin moved away.He was walking briskly and made his way to the restroom. He needed to get his timeout and luckily for him, the only man in the restroom was just leaving as he approached. To make certain it was safe, he began looking into the other toilet compartments and after making sure they were all empty, he got into the very first one. He needed to get this whole thing sorted and realized he had just a minute late."I don't understand, I took her to the hotel
The noise from the chairs pulling across was so loud that a waiter had come to talk to the duo but they kept moving until they got to table ten which was where Kevin sat uncomfortable."Why are you doing this?" Kevin muttered."Doing what? I didn't get that." Mickey teased smiling mischievously."This. Why are you even here?" He asked yet again."How do you mean, Kev? I came here just like everyone else to get something with the boys but apparently, I ran into an old friend." He stated."We're not friends, Mickey." Kevin stated."Oh, but we would be and I suggest you best start getting used to us being here." Mickey added and turned to the other guys.Kevin had never felt so hollow and pained as he was right now. He sat down there, the memory from the other day at Vanessa's birthday hunting him. Being honest, he was scared of the brute beside him and he did not want to pick a fight. He just wanted them gone away from him so he could have himself sometime. His life was already hanging
"Get him." The man said to the guys with him and nodded in Mickey's direction. The hefty men suddenly went to him and grabbed him by the shoulders heaving him up as they pulled him to stand."We would of course be deducting from whatever your balance for the dessert you took from the young mister." The man said."Get your hands off me this instant!!!" Mickey yelled but they pulled him away."We are really sorry for all of this sir. Please enjoy the rest of your evening." The man said to Kevin as they dragged the struggling Mickey out.He was creating a bigger scene as he struggled while they took him out and sincerely, Alice was not totally impressed. They should have been less noisy and more careful with how they acted out in public. She was wondering if Mickey was always like this because his actions seemed to have gotten to her really big. She looked up at Kevin who sat down there with his mood dampened and somehow, she felt a little remorseful for how he had been treated. It was a
