Bertha entered the room with a rather sad face.

“Is Bart doing okay now?” Mia asked her, even though she didn’t really care for Bart anymore.

Bertha nodded twice. “H-His injuries are bad, but he’ll recover fast since he’s still young.”

“Mm, what brought you here at this hour, Aunt?” Mia came straight to the point. “I told you that you don’t have to come to my room to tell me that the breakfast is prepared.”

“I know, but I came here to talk to you about our neighbor Gabe,” Bertha hesitantly said.

Mia didn’t like the fact that Bertha referred to Gabe as a neighbor. “What about him?”

“Didn’t you hear that his car, I mean, his boss’ car was taken?” Bertha quickly came over, raising her voice. “He’s been gone since yesterday morning, and he hasn’t come home yet.
