Gabe was sitting in the front row and was watching the friendly fights take place. This wasn’t his first time seeing fights like these, but right now, he was having a bit of a revelation.As he saw the fighters win the battles and seek attention, and get angry at those that booed at them, and displayed all kinds of so-called human emotions, he understood how vain these things were.Surely, the winners did earn a lot of money, but at what cost? Most fighters did not just try to win, but tried to crush the opponent so that they’d never be able to fight, much less look in the eye in the future.And the audience watching these fights were very harsh to the losers, and very friendly and favorable toward the winners.The only relief that Gabe could feel was that he did fight to impress others but more to impress himself, and also earn money at the same time.However, what would he have done if he didn’t have the alpha system with him? Would he have even dared to take part in such brutal fig
All the preliminary matches finished, and everyone was eagerly waiting for the main match of the day to start.But before that, the governor was supposed to give a speech.Rubel brought his wife along. Eunice had an owl mask on. They soon got onto the stage and waved their hands at the crowd, and they were very good at it.“Ladies and gentlemen,” Rubel said with happiness and pride, “I’m very happy that my wife has come to grace tonight’s event. And we are happy to announce that the winner will have a special dinner at our homes tomorrow.”His words made everyone clap, but Gabe remembered the past when his parents were also invited to Rubel’s house. And so, Gabe felt his blood boiling already.“Even though it’s a fight between a man and a woman, I have no doubt that this battle of sexes will give the thrill of a lifetime,” Rubel said. “I don’t want to keep you all waiting for long as I myself am very eager to see this match. So, let’s get this started.”Soon, Rubel and Eunice got off
There were no horns blowing like in a war, but only a whistle blown by the referee to signal the start of the most anticipated match in UTS in recent times, especially considering that both the fighters were not even in the top thousand ranks.Sansa’s eyes radiated like twin flames of fire as she leaped forth at Gabe like a lioness with no angst or agitation.She threw a punch as a feint and immediately backed it with a knee kick in Gabe’s abdomen. She was extremely flexible, so her momentum helped her land the blow even though Gabe saw the attack coming.Gabe reacted fast and pressed her leg down with his hands.She swiveled her other foot and used it to whip a kick at ribs, landing perfectly this time. Gabe moved back a few steps, but neither of them showed any change in their expressions.“I heard that kick from this far, and he tanked that kick like it was nothing! How can she win at this rate?”“Hey, she’s probably just warming up. You didn’t see her previous matches, which is wh
“The supreme families are like the sky. You are nothing but a cordless kite. The sky can’t be kicked away by the kite!” Sansa swirled and unleashed a tornado kick to his face. Gabe blocked her kick with his wrist. “That hurts. A dancing foot and a nagging mouth are indeed a deadly combination. At this rate, it will be hard for you to find a spouse.” “Shut up,” she pulled her leg back and thrust in his chest fast like a bullet, sending him flying over the ropes, making the jaws of the audience drop and their eyes pop. Gabe somersaulted and landed on the shoulders of two people in the crowd, both of whom were also fighters, so they were able to bear his weight. Many people thought he was over a second ago, but now, they were astonished by his balance. “Sorry, guys,” he apologized to them before jumping down and running toward the stage. He slid under the ropes and got onto the stage. Sansa didn’t look surprised that Gabe didn’t suffer any injury. “What do you know about me to talk
Gabe’s palm thrust sent flying into the ropes. She grabbed the ropes and stopped herself from getting bounced back to her opponent. Nevertheless, she coughed out blood in the process.Seeing her daughter bleed, Bilan got up, but then he felt the presence of someone enter the hall, and it turned out to be none other than the head of the Black Crows.Black Crows was a 88-member unit with eight squads of eleven members each. The Squad of Crows was led by the head of the unit, Ray Agnarsmith.Bilan and Ray had fought each other long ago, so Bilan was able to recognize him right away.Ray’s gaze also locked on Bilan right now, so Bilan couldn’t act. He just stood there and shouted, “Don’t lose, Broken Healer! If you lose, I’m going to break all your bones!”“Ke-he-he,” Sansa let out a laugh after hearing her father’s words. She wiped the blood off her mouth and approached Gabe rather confidently. “You’re not the only one who can move fast.” She swiveled and spun through the air like a torn
Bilan was about to enter the stage, but the referees outside the stage blocked his path.The referee on stage quickly checked Sansa’s condition. She was not conscious, but when the referee snapped his fingers before her face, she quickly opened her eyes. And she got back up as if she was ready to fight.“Oi. she got knocked out for a few seconds,” Gabe looked at the referee. “Doesn’t that mean I already won?”“What do you mean you won?” Sansa jumped and whipped a kick at him. “I was just taking a beauty nap. As long as I’m able to move, you can’t count it as your victory.”Gabe blocked her kick with his forearm and said, “Ouch. That hurt. Your words really are more powerful than your punches and kicks. But your words aren’t quite good, either. You said your clan is like the sky, but I see the sky in my woman’s eyes. I fly my kite in the depths of her soul. In my eyes, you are like the fly that can’t help but be attracted to dung. Can you stop me from imagining what I want?”Sansa grit
“Ultra Fist!” It connected to Gabe’s mouth perfectly, and the noise it made was so loud that everyone thought that his head was going to blow into bits and pieces. However, Gabe’s head and all of his teeth were very much intact. “H-He’s strong,” the audience were astonished that Gabe was still very much conscious and on his knees, staring or rather glaring at her opponent. “His teeth are strong, too. Does he not use fluoride toothpaste?” “If he was using one, he would have definitely lost many teeth just now.” Their words made Mia wonder about why they were talking that way. “Isn’t fluoride toothpaste good?” {Fluoride weakens bones. Makes them brittle.} Stemmer said. {It also messes with your brain and hardens your pineal gland. Without your pineal gland, you wouldn’t be able to imagine well. You won’t be able to control me, either. Many decades ago, one of my previous owners fought against the government to get fluoride banned from being used in water and toothpaste and so on.}
“That really hurt…” Gabe walked out through the hole in the wall, leaving many in the audience shocked for a good reason. They were not expecting him to be in one piece, but here he was, still on his feet and seemingly okay after taking such a monstrous attack.Thanks to the destruction Sansa caused, the viewers of their match almost multiplied in just a minute. Millions were watching it now.Gabe looked at his hand, in which he had a ball of translucent energy almost twice as big as a marble.“What’s this energy you’ve extracted?” he asked Systa.[That’s called vivre.] she explained. [You can say it’s energy derived from oxygen.]“Oxygen?”[Think of how plants convert sunlight and carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and starch.] Systa said. [Humans also do something similar but opposite. Your body converts the food you eat to glucose, which mixes with the oxygen in cells and produces energy. This is the life energy that humans live up on. It exists at a certain level of frequency an
