Chp 131 - No Proof

Adam rushed towards the lieutenant’s assigned office.

“Excuse me, er, sir. This is not appropriate,” the stocky supervisor huffed as he tried to catch up with Adam.

Adam ignored him and walked faster in the direction Shelby gave him.

His wounds had finally sealed up at this point and he looked worse than he actually felt.

He wanted to get to the lieutenant before the supervisor could call on the soldiers to stop him.

Yes, he had once been treated like royalty when the colonel was conscious. Adam doubted he would receive the same treatment at the moment, so he doubled his speed.

“Mister, I said...oh well,” the supervisor stopped as one of the colonel’s men intercepted Adam right before he could raise his hand to knock on the door.

He tried to catch his breath as he folded his arms and sent Adam a glare.

Adam stopped in his tracks and tried a wry smile to disarm the stoic soldier.

The man’s stony look made him realise that wouldn’t be so simple.
