Chapter XLVI

Back at the lair, David had gotten a call from the precinct. It was the captain requesting for his immediate assistance on a case as well as his set of eyes for what was at hand. He may have decided to keep off the precinct for a while but the information the captain gave him left him with no other choice but to oblige. Peterson and Jean had to go through the case files all by themselves.

On his way to the scene, he tried to figure out what it was that had spooked the captain that much. In the end, he just had to wait and get the answer from the scene itself. On arrival, what he expected was not what he saw. Instead of the bloodless carved bodies, those at the scene had bullet holes and instead of one, they were two. Immediately he laid eyes on the bodies, he recognized them.
