20. Saving The Stranger
The man's voice vibrated through the air, making Lucian adjust his gaze to the girl shuddering under the man's grip. The weather, which wasn't helping the situation, soared with thunder, and even the man quickly glanced at the sky before returning his gaze to Lucian.

The man scoffs, tightening his hold on his blade. "If you had just done what I asked for, I would have been on my way, and everyone would have been happy!" He yelled, adjusting his gaze to his unconscious men on the floor. “You have to make things difficult by playing a hero, huh?”

The loud voice, yelling angrily at Mason, made the girl shiver once more, and even when she tried to maintain her composure, the cold rain pierced into her skin.

“Shake one more time and I will slit your throat!” The man yells, and the girl freezes, holding her breath. Hot tears drop from her cheeks as she holds Lucian's gaze. Her eyes secretly beg him to save her, and Lucian understands her pain signals for her to remain calm.
