Chapter 110

The nurse took her time to remove the needle from James' arm. The door to his hospital room opened up and Anna walked in with a bag of clothes in her hands. She placed them gently on the table which was available in the room.

"You are set to leave now, Mr. Johnson. But do not forget to take your medications as prescribed by the Doctor." The nurse instructed him and picked up the metal tray whic she had placed on the bed to throw in the needles and bloodied cotton swabs.

"Thank you, Nurse." Anna said as the nurse walked out of the room.

"What happened?" She asked James. He turned and look at her furtively. He was not ready to get into it at the moment.

"What makes you think there is something wrong?" He asked her coldly.

"More than seventeen years of friendship and you think that a certain camouflage can deflect me from seeing the truth." She said to him.

"Are you certain you aren't just reading into my sick look?" James asked her evasively.
