Chapter 13

The Doctor gently placed the plaster over his nose, after dabbing away the excess blood with a cotton swab. Peter Causey used the mirror handed to him to access his newly reconstructed nose.

The bruises from his fight with James had distorted his face to an almost unrecognizable state, yet, the Doctor had said he would heal fast enough if he stuck to his daily medication religiously.

Causey's face contorted into a ferocious expression, a vicious growl escaped his throat as he continues to assess his injury. He was more determined to deal with Sarah Brown for the shame and disgrace she had brought upon him.

"You are free to leave anytime you want, Mr. Causey, but I would suggest maximum rest, and stay away from tedious activities, especially ones that would end in a fight" the Doctor advised.

"You should do more formal education than sit in the practical field, Doctor Greg. How about you send a nanny to do the babysitting?" Peter Causey said to his friend and personal Doctor, Greg Hamilton.

"I would love to do that. I have considered assigning you an auxiliary nurse to cater to all your needs." Dr. Greg said.

"ALL.my needs you say " Peter Causey recreated with a deep-throated groan.

Doctor Greg turned to him with a disapproving shake of his head.

"I believe a word is enough for the wise, Peter. Your nose can only be reconstructed so many times." Doctor Greg replied and ticked something off his chart.

A knock sounded on the door, and the nurse from reception peeped in.

"Yes,?" Dr. Greg asked.

"There is a visitor for Mr. Causey." The nurse said.

"Alright, I am done with your examination for today." Dr. Greg said, taking off his gloves.

"Now, what is the nature of this visit?" The Doctor asked Peter Causey with a raise of his eyebrow.

"I am as surprised as you are" Peter.

"Let the person in," the Doctor said, packing his things.

"I'll instruct the nurse to bring your medication, so you can leave when you feel like it," Dr. Greg said and walked out.

Shortly after Dr. Greg left, the door pushed open again, and Peter Causey's aide, Samuel walked into the room.

"Samuel, any good news for me?" Causey asked as he tried to put on his shoes.

"Sir, I found some information about the man who attacked you. His name is James Johnson, former military personnel, somehow he got married to Sarah Brown as a result of an agreement he had with her Family. Other than that, no information concerning him  showed up anywhere else."

"It is almost like he does not exist. Perhaps James Johnson would be an alias. It's either everything else concerning him was purposefully erased from the system." Samuel explained to him.

"I see, a loafer and a beggar. He is insignificant and full of inconsistencies. I would have to deal with him later. So, he is married to Sarah Brown, then? A princess and the Pauper" he smiled to himself.

"We'll see how we can make those two the perfect pair. The Browns have messed with the wrong person. I will make sure that she pays for it." He said sneeringly.

Nobody had ever come into his trap and escaped, it would be a taboo If Sarah Brown became the one who got away.

Peter Causey put a call through to his friend and partner, the Manager of United Bank, Mr. Derrick Jones.

"Hello Causey, to what honor do I owe this call?" Mr. Jones' voice sounded over the phone

"Derrick, You have not been exempted from the news going around town today." Peter Causey said to him.

"Yes, actually, I have. I wondered what business you had with the Brown family to warrant such an opportunistic scandal. Or did you not know she was the Brown's daughter?" Mr. Derrick mocked his friend.

"It is a long story, but as you know, I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble always comes to me first. The silly girl walked up to me, seeking my help with her Company's issues" Causey explained.

"Really? We are the ones managing Capitalize Group's financial assets. We already agreed to help by disbursing a loan to them, but I presume you already know about that?" Derrick asked.

"Yes, I do, and I would have helped her, but you know I have a weakness for beautiful, young women," Peter said.

"Did you find out who attacked you? I mean the man who broke the back on everything?" Derrick asked with interest.

"No, I have no idea because he is unimportant to me. But I want you to bear my revenge." Peter Causey said.

"What do you want me to do?" Mr. Derrick asked, his voice slurring because he knew what was coming next.

"Nobody escapes my trap, and nobody messes with me and goes Scot free"  Peter Causey replied. His expression became livid and his twisted face contorted into an angry sneer.

"I want Sarah Brown at my mercy, I want her to beg for my help. I want her to come.to me crawling and wishing she had never refused my bed. I want her to feel just as helpless as I did at the mercy of her wretched lover." Peter stated while chewing each word for clarity's sake.

"I understand this and I think I know exactly how to make that happen. Leave the whole gamut to me, I will deal with Capitalize Groups myself."Mr. Derrick said.

"Ensure that you pull the strings on all their assets, whatever was not frozen must be completely frozen. I need to be their only source of help, and you must make that much clear to Sarah Brown." Peter Causey said to him, a Ludacris smile on his lips, as his expression shifted between a smirk and a very vicious grimace.
