Asmodeus (2)

"Where is this place?"

Asmodeus asked Corvius as they stepped through the wall. The wall was not what Asmodeus had expected. He thought he would be enveloped in something pungent, but to him, it was a simple wall of smoke. He was not even sure if he was actually on earth, for the weird feeling he was having was still lingering.

"This is the northern kingdom. A people banished from society centuries ago. This is our home, our fortress. This is a place that no human ought to visit. Or a demon."

Corvius added slowly and gazed at Asmodeus.

"Then, how am I here?" Asmodeus asked.

"I brought you here."

"With your magic? How is that possible? You cannot achieve something like that. And how do you have a dragon?"

Asmodeus asked. It felt so terrible that he did not have the answers he sought. He had to depend on a stranger for clues. But he looked at Corvius. The king was quite naive, and that was something he was ready to capitalize on.
