Alastair perceived a smell that he did not know he would ever perceive ever again. It was the smell of burnt flesh, and as he slowly opened his eyes, he gazed at the terrible sight before him.He was back to that night in Elderien, nineteen years ago, the night when death reigned in all of the Elderien's keep, and blood formed streams in the streets. He was back to that night when his entire being was most violated, and the darkness within him swelled like a massive cocoon."No...No..."Alastair whispered as he stood up. He could hear the cries of the mages as their skin burned. He could smell the burns, and the ashes from their destruction filled the air. "This isn't real. This is just a vision. This isn't real."Alastair reminded himself, but suddenly, someone grabbed his leg. Alastair shuddered as he gazed at the half-burnt mage grabbing his boot on the ground. There was Darkness all over Elderien, and the silence that followed told Alastair that he was alone in Elderien at that time. Drax had dashed out of the catacombs and almost got lost along the way. What could he say? The route to the catacombs seemed to switch as he took them. The little corridors were all Similar, and he didn't know if it was just an architectural design or if it was magic.But he needed to find Cara as soon as possible. At the same time, he wondered if he had done the right thing leaving Alastair all alone in the catacombs. He was obviously under attack and Drax knew. It had to be Corvius. She did not even see the knife coming, possibly because she had not believed Drax when he said that Corvius was after her. Drax could perceive the smell of wet soil. Its fresh, natural, and full scene filled his nostrils. As Drax opened his eyes, he found himself in a forest surrounded by tall trees whose tops could barely be seen. He swallowed as he observed the trees and wondered how it was possible. "No... No!"Drax gasped as he stood up quickly. He could not believe that it was actually happening, that he was actually there.
