CHAPTER 3:
Little Kabbus's eyes fluttered open. He felt weak and strong at the same time but one thing he noticed was that he felt slightly different. It was like there was something in him that had changed but he couldn't pinpoint what it was."Louis, Louis, are you awake? Do you feel better now?" Wendy, Little Kabbus's earthly mother asked worriedly.Kabbus rolled his eyes and snorted "I felt better until I heard your voice, Wo... Mum. I just need a few seconds to myself." He replied sharply. He looked around and realized he was in a bed in the academic clinic. The last thing he remembered was that he wanted to beat up some kids but he slipped and fell, after that, a voice sounded in his head and that was all, he passed out."Was that why I fainted? The voice said I'm now a new being, does that mean that I've gotten my powers back or something? Then, why am I still so small?" Little Kabbus was confused. He closed his eyes to picture what had changed in him but he felt nothing at all. He looked around himself but there was still no change and he frowned. "Mum, do I look different?" It took him a while but he was slowly getting used to calling Wendy *Mum*Wendy looked confused, she looked at him from his head to his toe and shook her head "Nothing at all. Is something supposed to have changed?" She asked and Kabbus quickly shook his head.He was about to open his mouth to talk when his stomach grumbled loudly and he frowned "Seems I'm hungry. I should eat first and think later." He said to himself but before he could say anything to his mother, she was already out of the room and he knew exactly where she went to.The door opened after a few minutes and the person that walked in was Wendy with a bag in hand. The aroma coming from her made it obvious that it was food and Kabbus couldn't wait to mooch on it.The food was served in front of him and he quickly sat right to start eating. Little Kabbus raised the first spoon to his mouth, opened his mouth slightly and brought the spoon in, only for his eyes to widen slightly as the taste of the food was slightly different in his mouth. He looked at his mother, ready to complain about the food but when he saw the smile on her face, he decided to keep quiet and just eat. He ate the food hungrily and finished it all in a few seconds but what was surprising was the fact that even though he ate so much, he still wasn't filled. He drank more water, drank some more and asked for more food, he ate so much that Wendy became worried but somehow, he was still hungry and he wondered what was going on."Are you okay, Louis?" Wendy asked worriedly, her eyes showing the great concern from the depth of her heart. She had been with her son for ten years already and he had always been someone that ate so little but he finished so much and he still wasn't satisfied. She knew something was truly wrong.Kabbus shook his head, he always thought of keeping things to himself but right then, he was scared. The more he ate, the hungrier he became and it seemed like he wasn't eating what he was supposed to eat. The moment he stopped eating, his stomach started grumbling again and the only thought that crossed his mind was that... Something was really wrong somewhere and that scared him."I'm not okay. I feel like... I can't get filled no matter how hard I try. It's so... scary." He replied. He hated to be this weak in front of a mere human who might not even be able to help him but if he was sent to be her son, then maybe she would be able to help him in some way."Wait for me, I will call the doctors." Wendy quickly replied before she stood up from her seat and ran away.Little Kabbus watched her leave the room and shook his head "And here I was, thinking she could help. She is just a human after all."A few minutes later...A doctor walked in and came closer to Kabbus "Louis, your mother told me you feel empty inwardly and no matter how much you eat, you don't get satisfied. Is that right?""Yes. I ate a lot but I'm still hungry. Can you check if something is wrong with me somewhere?" Kabbus questioned. Even though he knew it wasn't natural, he still wanted to play by this planet's rule and see if things would work out for him."Okay, I will conduct a few tests on you and will let your mother know your situation. You will surely be okay." The doctor told him.Little Kabbus wasn't expecting much but he still kept quiet as he watched the doctor try his best and soon, he left the room for the test with Wendy, leaving Kabbus alone in the room.He was still deep in thought when he heard the commotion outside. He knew something was wrong outside but it wasn't his business and he felt too lost at the moment. He closed his eyes gently to feel his inside again... "I think..." He wasn't able to finish his words when the door opened and an injured girl was brought in.She was taken to a bed and the person that brought her was crying profusely "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! You are bleeding so much! So much blood because of me..."Blood! Blood? The word Blood triggered something in Kabbus and he quickly opened his eyes. He turned his head to look at the people that entered his room and he felt his stomach grumbling as he watched the blood that dripped from the girl's wounds but more than that, he felt like he could see the blood running through her body!"Wait, what? What did I turn to?"CHAPTER 4: Little Kabbus had no idea what was going on with his body. He felt thirsty all of a sudden and a part of him was drawing him close to the patient they just brought in. "Something is wrong. Something is really wrong. What is wrong with me?" He was scared and confused. This wasn't his plan at all, this wasn't what he wanted. How could he get attracted to an injured person?"Am I about to eat someone up because I'm hungry? What kind of monster am I, then?" Little Kabbus cried inwardly. He forced himself up the bed and sat down on the edge. Staring at the patient was making it harder for him so to prevent that, he decided to look away but his eyes would keep wandering to the patient's side at times. It was frustrating, he hated it and he thought of leaving the room so he could sort out his thoughts but that was when someone spoke up..."Wait for me here, I'm coming." The person who came with the patient said. He seemed to be leaving the room!"Really? Don't stay long. The d
Kabbus was in shock, everything seemed like a dream to him. When he saw the first notification, he thought he was starting to gain his powers as an angel back but what was this? His face turned pale as he was in utter disbelief but the scream of the boy woke him up and he tried to act. He wasn't in his right mind but one thing he knew was that people mustn't see him at that moment or he might get killed as a monster. He turned to look at Tiana and thankfully, she was asleep. To his surprise, she had a very big smile on her face even after what he did to her and that made Kabbus wonder what kind of person she was but more than that, he knew he had to get out of the room. He turned around to look at the crying boy only to find out he had collapsed and a loud grunt escaped from his mouth. He took a few steps forward toward the boy and he saw that he wasn't responding. Having confirmed that, Kabbus escaped from the room and made his way home with red eyes... He was in a big mess. "Lou
CHAPTER 6: Kabbus's heart raced. He looked around in search of what had gone wrong but he could see nothing. Looking at the bodies on the ground, he needed no one to tell him that it was the bodies of the people in his town as he knew a lot of them. "What happened here? Was this done by me? Did I become a monster while sleeping and... did this?" Kabbus panicked but there was no way to confirm and when he looked at his body, apart from the blood that dropped on his shirt when he was injured and Tiana's blood, there was nothing else to see. He was still on this thought when he heard screams coming from very far away from him. He frowned and turned toward the direction, he thought about going there to see what was going on but more than that, he decided to find his earthly parents first. "Are they dead too or did they run away? They will never run away, leaving their only child, would they?" He questioned himself as he tried to think about what must be going on but he was clueless. W
THE FALLEN ANGELCHAPTER 7:"Lucas! You can't leave me like this. You know Louis and I can't leave without you. Please, you have to live!" Wendy cried as she kneeled beside her husband and her child. She was panicking as she was scared. The last thing she wanted was to lose her husband... "Please..." She pleaded more. Lucas looked at Wendy's face and shook his head sadly "I wish to live too..." He said and turned to face Louis "I want to stay with my son too. More than anything... I want to watch him grow up. I want to watch him laugh and play for a long time... I don't want him to see me like this either..." He struggled to say as blood was already dripping from the corner of his mouth. Kabbus knew he was dying already but he was in shock. He saw the notification that popped up in front of him but he was divided. Would his father want to live even if it meant that he would become a vampire? Would he not hate him if he made him a vampire? He had a lot of questions on his mind and i
Kabbus wondered why his parents weren't asking him any questions at the moment even though he was glad it was so as he hadn't prepared an answer yet. He knew he had to say something that would please them or they might send him away or even kill him, calling him a monster. He helped them gather the ones who were still alive and together, they all set out to leave the town he grew up in. Not that he had any great memory of the place anyway and he wasn't in the right mind to miss anything. Just when he thought he wouldn't miss anyone, his mind flashed back to the small boy who saw him in the academy's hospital and his heart raced again. "Maybe he would have gotten killed too. I heard almost all the students were killed and only a few were able to escape. Out of the few that escaped, they are all with us at the moment apart from a girl and looking at the kids, none of them look like that boy, which means he must be dead but why do I feel strange all of a sudden? Could the boy be trou
"Louis!" Wendy was the first to scream when he saw the metal sticking out of her son's stomach. Fear gripped her soul as she quickly rushed forward to save him but she wasn't fast enough. Lucas ran quickly, he grabbed Louis's hand and dragged him toward himself but he still wasn't fast enough as the metal had been pulled out of Kabbus's stomach and there was a big hole in his stomach. Kabbus looked at the hole in his belly but for some reason, he wasn't scared. He raised his head to look at the creature who stabbed him from the back and his anger grew. It was a beast... a humanoid beast but a weak one. Kabbus removed the knife that his father kept in his trousers and ran forward, without making a sound, he stabbed it into the neck of the beast and watched the beast fall to the ground. "It... It stabbed me from behind. It... cheated." That was the last word that came out of his mouth before he fainted but Lucas was quick enough to grab him before he reached the ground. Wendy was a
Kabbus found the answer reasonable enough and he liked it too. More than anyone else, he knew he had to get stronger and he was ready to do anything to do that. "Okay. I should go meet Dad. I should help them as much as I can." He said as he ran away from his mother and toward the direction where he knew his father would be. "Louis, you are awake?""Louis, Do you feel better now?"The villagers that saw him passing asked him but he had no time to answer any of them as he ran toward his father. "I will help you, Father." Little Kabbus said with a big smile on his face. Knowing that his family still accepted him despite knowing he wasn't human was something that warmed his heart and it made him love them more. A few Years Later...Little Kabbus had grown into a 16-year-old boy and during the last 6 years, he had tried growing his powers at every given chance. He no longer relied on blood as he didn't want to alert the people but he would go out during the night to fight some beasts
Kabbus never thought he could be this pained. He never expected to experience this kind of pain by seeing the corpse of the people he had grown to love over the years. These people weren't like him but they were his, his people, his propriety and... his only family. "They were the only ones who cared about me." Tears rolled down his eyes as he looked at Wendy's bloody face. His mind went back to the things that had happened since he was reincarnated and he blamed himself for staying back with these harmless people. He stood up from the ground and let out a deep breath. "I can cry all I want later, but I need to leave here first." He told himself as he avoided the corpses on the ground, made his way to his room and started searching his things. He took the money he had made over the years with the ones Lucas and Wendy made, after that, he destroyed the huts and looked at the body again. Kabbus wanted to leave them lying on the ground but his heart couldn't take it. With a little m
Kabbus took the lesson seriously, his hands kept moving smoothly. His face was as calm as a lake, sweat dripping, and even his eye lashes were wet, but that still didn't stop him. "He's done it a thousand times already. What's he doing?" Lith asked, not understanding what was going on. They were all shocked when they saw the way Kabbus practiced swiftly. Although basic styles weren't hard to learn, it was not completely easy either, so seeing Kabbus learn it within a few hours was quite surprising. Especially when most of them spent a month to perfect it!He really made them feel ashamed of themselves but then again, what was he still doing?"Isn't he tired?" Athos also asked. "I don't think so," Martins had an amusing smile on his face as he replied. "He's trying to break through to the late stage. I mean, he wants to perfect it to the max," He explained and the rest gasped. Lith shook his head as he gawked, "Per... perfect it? Has he gone nuts? Why would he waste his time on suc
Kabbus stood at the door, staring at nothing but he seemed very focused. If anyone saw him, they would think he was just calmly gazing at space but he was the only one that knew he was actually checking his stat. Title: Half VampireLevel: 16Power: 10%New title: **** (Slumber)What shocked Kabbus wasn't only the new title he got but also something else that lingered on his stat, giving him a mysterious feeling. "What's this?" He couldn't help but ask. He raised his hand and tapped on the word Slumber but it only brought out error, confusing him more. 'Why am I half vampire again? I'm supposed to be a full one, why does it look like I went back to the beginning? If that's the case, then what's these powers I feel in me? I feel a lot stronger than before and my stats are in thousands too. Kabbus was very confused, he had no idea what was going on with him and for the first time since he found out he was a vampire, he wished he had someone to put him through. Being a vampire was al
"Why did you guys decide to buy such a useless sword?" Lith was surprised. He clearly heard the shop owner explain to them that the sword was useless but Martins and Kabbus still decided to buy it. Especially Kabbus who had been staring at the sword since they left the shop as if it was a treasure he couldn't afford to part with. "I can unsheate it," Kabbus replied without moving his eyes from the sword. The boys were surprised, except Martins who had a small smile on his face. "I saw you unsheathed it earlier." He said out loud. Only then did Kabbus raise his head. He looked at Martins and gave a slight nod before he returned his attention to the sword. "Can you show me?" Lith asked excitedly. A sword that had never left its scabbard for years finally came out when it got to Kabbus's hands, Lith was beyond stunned! Kabbus was about to reply when Martins suddenly came to a stop and held his hand, stopping him too. "Let's get the ring here. It's cheaper than the Sect
Kabbus felt refreshed immediately and he quickly stood up. He looked at the boys who had gotten to him and let out a deep breath. "Can we be fast here? There's something I need to do soon." He muttered. "What's that?' Lith asked. Kabbus looked into his eyes "Evolve," He said simply. Lith's eyes widened and he chuckled. "You could have just said it's a secret," He mumbled and rolled his eyes. Kabbus shook his head but didn't say a word. He already told the truth so it was only left for the boys to believe him. He wasn't planning to hide his vampire side from the guys but he wouldn't show them either... He left it to them to find out themselves and they could do whatever they wanted then. Kabbus never believed he was evil just because he was a vampire and even if Vampires were evil, he planned never to do evil. Except for taking his revenge and trampling the ones who bullied him under his feet, the ones he wouldn't forgive would be his enemies. He wouldn't hurt the innocents and he
Silence dawned in the forest as the boys all thought about the revelation Kabbus had just thrown at them. None of them could have thought he was younger than them and knowing that only made them want to protect him more!Soon, They heard the leaves ruffle and yet came another beast but it was a star 5 beast! Kabbus moved forward "I will deal with this." He suggested and though the group seemed hesitant, they let him go. Star 5 beast wasn't something a Rank 4 body Strengthening stage cultivator could go against alone. Even Rank 6 body Strengthening cultivator would face some problems facing it and Kabbus knew this difference between him and the beast. But he wasn't just a cultivator, he was also a vampire!Kabbus knew his Vampire level was almost the same as his cultivator level, If not higher. This meant he was about two times stronger than a normal Rank 4 body-strengthening stage Cultivator and he could even rival a Rank 5 martial Master! He moved closer to the beast who was staring
"Louis, Are you okay?" Martins was the first of the boys to get to him and he quickly asked worriedly. "You shouldn't have chased after it like that. What if it called its peers and they gathered up on you? It could have been dangerous!" Martins scolded as he searched Kabbus's body with his eyes. Kabbus sighed. He was still busy checking out his stat when Martins distracted him. That was enough to annoy him and the way Martins was scolding him only annoyed him more. 'You ain't my mother, Guy!' He wished he could shout that out! "I'm fine," He just coldly said and walked back to meet the rest. Joining them, they all seemed somehow worried about him but none of them said a word and just looked at Martins who had the dead Star 3 beast in his hand. "Can't you keep that? Don't you have a storage ring?" Lith asked Martins, surprised to see him carrying the beast in his hands instead. The beast was so big that his whole veins bulged even though he was a Rank 6 body-strengthening cu
"Yao? I do love that name too!" Lu Xinxin said excitedly as she looked at the boys. "Martins is as great as always. He knows how to name someone beautifully!" "Fuck off and give us space to eat. You're disturbing us," Lith shooed Lu Xinxin away rudely but to Kabbus's surprise, Lu Xinxin only rolled her eyes and pulled Lith's long hair gently before she rushed away, laughing like a little girl. The five boys ate peacefully after that. None of them said a word to each other but at that moment, Martins had a very big smile on his face. He would look at Kabbus now and then while the smile never left his face. If someone was to look closely, they would notice a small redness on his cheeks but no one paid him notice and Kabbus definitely wouldn't spare him a glance. Even if he did, he wouldn't notice anything. An hour later, they were done. Martins was the one who paid the bills and they left the canteen. They made their way to Kabbus's new dorm to check and help him with the clea
Kabbus nodded his head and smiled. He looked at his claws and his smile widened. He looked toward the punching bag in front of him and swiped toward it, leaving a long cut line on it. "It's..." "It's strong! Wow, so strong!" Luke beat him to it as he looked at the scene with shock. Kabbus shook his head. "It's weak," That was what he wanted to say and he finally said it. The claw was strong but compared to his vampire claws, it was very weak... Too weak. Though, it was only the beginning stage of the skill and he hadn't even perfected it yet. The boys looked at him as if he was crazy but none of them said a word and just shook their heads while smiling. To them, Kabbus's dream was huge but that only made them like him more. Well... Who wouldn't like an ambitious person? Especially when they seemed talented too! "I should rest for a while and train more. I want to get used to this more so I can..." He stopped. He was already planning on how he would add his vampire claws to th
Kabbus left the room to meet up with his friends who were waiting outside for him. "What skills did you choose?" Luke asked, rushing over to him. "I chose Thousands of Swords Light and High Valley Eagle," Kabbus replied. "I should start practising it right away." He added. The guys agreed with him and they all made their way toward the field. "Which one are you practising first?" Martins asked excitedly. Everything seemed exciting to him and because of Kabbus, he felt the urge to practice too. The rest felt the same. Kabbus looked at the two books in his hands and sighed "I think I should go with the High Valley Eagle for now. I don't have a sword." He said as he shook his head. Martins and the rest understood his plight and nodded their heads "You need some money to buy a good sword. The Sect could give you a sword but it won't be good enough." Martins explained. "We could do this..." He paused as he looked toward Lith. "Yes, We could go hunting. We all need some cultivation re
