THE FUTURE IS BEHIND.

Chapter 11 - THE STRATAGEM

Clara didn’t know about the intentions of Selem being close to her and becoming too nice to her but she noticed he was all of a sudden becoming nice to her and coming too close that you may think they were in a relationship if not that they were brothers and sisters, not as if he have not been nice to her but she noticed he hardly get offended over things she did or is doing, he always seem to understands whenever she tries to explain to him when she did something wrong.

So she decided to play along not knowing what he was planning but decided to give out the details of her father’s intended travel to Spain to her step-brother Selem but told her father, the king and her mum about her brothers suspicious behavior and what she saw in her dreams for three nights which her mother Doris also confirmed that she had similar experience in her dreams three nights ago. This confirmation made their curiosity stronger and eager to find out but avoiding becoming a prey.

Clara in her dream saw blood all over the kingdom as she woke up in the dream, she walked around scared of what would have happened and she was looking for anyone who may have survive the slaughter, but there was no one obviously, she rushed inside and took her sword as a warrior and she came out with the sword she woke up.

Her mother Queen Doris also told them that she saw in her dream people crying all over the entire kingdom, she tried to find out why they were crying but no one seemed to be in the right frame of mind to explain to her and as she was becoming scared and border, someone from nowhere shouted, that is Queen Doris, she is the one we have been looking for, catch her and kill her. Queen Doris started running and as she was running the unknown men were chasing her and running really fast, she did not know what to do again so she decided to hide, as she found a closed cave to hide, she opened it up and went inside and also closed the entrance as not to attract much attention from her chasers.

The men who were chasing her ran and passed the cave but stopped and were asking one another, if anyone saw where she went to or the route she took but no one saw her as she was really fast too, so after few minutes of searching and waiting, they left but before they left they made a statement, that they will go back to the queen that sent them and tell her that they could not find her anywhere around the Khah’s Kingdom.

So as they left, Queen Doris started walking through the cave to see what was really inside but was shocked when she found her husband King Whune laying dead on the dusty floor, she rushed toward him and tried to pull him up but he was already gone, she cried out loud not minding the men who were chasing her earlier will hear her. She wept for over an hour when someone tapped her from behind, she turned with shock written all over her face and as she did she woke up scared, panting like a dog being chased and sweating.

King Whune and queen Doris assured Clara not to worry that nothing is going to happen to them nor she and her brother Wgheneo that they will make sure of it, but after Clara left burdened, they made a plan and agreed within themselves to make a plan alone without anybody getting involved with the process and decided to execute what they have planned alone without informing any of their children or anyone at all because at this point they did not trust anyone and wanted to take all necessary precaution.

They also decided to play along because something was telling them that something is going to go wrong as they travel to Spain in a few days time, so they decided to make a fool of what every Hermosa and her son was planning or anyone it could be as they were not sure of whom it was or will be, they decided to prepare on the day of their travel and leave the king’s palace with two carts as usual but to go a separate way to a nearby town called Evive Kingdom, one of the smallest kingdom in the whole region, where no one will recognize them as the king and queen of Khah’s Kingdom for a little while and the other cart will head straight to Spain with the maids and guards on it to see whether Hermosa and her son were planning something dangerous and what it could be.

Early in the morning the next day, the Queen and King Whune prepared as planned to leave the palace when Queen Hermosa rushed in and told them that she knew they were travelling this morning so she had woken up earlier than usual to prepare breakfast for them as the journey will be rough and tiring.

She told them that she knows that she have never prepared breakfast for them before and she is fully aware it will look awkward for her to do it now they are travelling to Spain but she just felt like doing that today as they are going to be away for a long time due to the far distance between Khah’s Kingdom and Spain.

They accepted her offer without hesitation but with a suspicious heart as they eyed themselves and smiled stylishly, they appreciated her with sweet words as they went to the dining table, the food was served by Hermosa herself which made them more curious but they tried their best to bury their curiosity deep inside, they kept on staring at the plate of toasted bread and the hot cup of tea presented to them as if they saw a ghost or are aware of a poison in the meal.
