Chapter 17 - HIDDEN PURPLE CRYSTAL

The statement of marrying his step-sister smacked Prince Wgheneo very hard in his heart and his heart stated beating fast that was when he realized he had made a big mistake and he now understand that everything that happened in the meeting was all well ploted and planned and he foolishly fell for it. He looked up to his sister Clara who was already starring at him with tears running down her cheek knowing copiously well that Prince Selem after being coroneted as the new king will pick her to become his wife or rather a whore that he will be using as a sex material and for his pleasures. Looking at her face, Prince Wgheneo suddenly realized that things would not be easy on them from that night till when God sends redemption from Heaven if anything like that exists, he imagined the kind of torture his sister Princess Clara will go through, the pain, suffering and the torture he was sensing was already too much and it was not hurting him as the fact that this treatment will be coming from a man who has a hand in the death of their parents.

The crowd cheered happily and the dancing, drinking, laughing and chatting continued for some time and Prince Wgheneo stood up and left his seat, he went straight to his room and brought out the purple crystal his father gave him on one of his birthday when he was little and he stared at it, realizing that this purple crystal will be the only hope and thing that can save me in the future, he thought seeing the danger ahead, he thought about where to hide it but could not think straight at the moment because he knows Prince Selem will eventually ask for it and if he hides it in the palace, his brother Prince Selem will find it and he will be finished for life. So he thought about where he could hide it without it being found by anyone even if he is being tortured, where he cannot easily access.

After thinking few minutes, he heard some noise approaching and he knew it will be Prince Selem who have noticed his absence at the party and wanted to come and check on his, so he decided to swallow the purple crystal instead and he did swallow it and immediate Prince Selem knocked at his door and he went and opened the door for him to come in but he stood still and asked him whether he was not enjoying the party that made him leave to his room, he smiled and lied to Prince Selem that he wanted to get the gift he had prepared for him on his coronation day but wanted it to be a surprise and would not want him to see it.

Prince Selem immediately thought it was the purple crystal he was packaging for him as a gift, so he smiled and said inside of him, this my brother is really a fool, he really wants to give me his authority as a prince in Khah’s Kingdom, wow, this is exciting and beautiful, so Prince Selem jerked out of his thought when Prince Wgheneo called out to him and asked him whether he was ok, he affirmed yes, that he was just thinking about what he just said and what the gift will be that he wants to surprise him with.

Prince Wgheneo told him not to worry that he will see it in few hours after his official coronation party. Prince Selem left smiling and sat down back at his seat in the feast but Prince Wgheneo locked back the door to his room and started thinking of what to give to his brother Prince Selem now that he has lied to him that he was packaging a special gift for him, he was worried but now he have to provide a gift he never bargained for. He walked around his room worried and thinking on what he would give to his brother, he remembered a play doh that they use to play with when they were growing up, they used it in building stuffs like houses, cars etc, he immediate went and looked for them and thank God he found them, he took them and packaged them together and used a masking foil to wrap them together and smiled at his creativeness, he took the gift with him and went back to the hall and sat down on his seat and dropped the present beside him and continued watching the musicians play their beautiful music.

In few minutes the long awaited time came, the clouds changed, thunder storms, lightening and snow started falling because the blue moon was about to come out.

Everyone was scared except for the royal families and elders who are already used to the appearing of the blue moon ones every year for their thanksgiving feast to God for an immersed and bountiful harvest.

The crown prince was summoned by one of the elders as the coronation just started officially because they have all been waiting for the blue moon to appear and here it come.

Prince Selem stepped out and stood at the middle of the palace where the blue moon was to focus it light and the purple crystal which his father King Whune gave to him on his birthday was given to him as it was collected as part of the rituals few weeks before the coronation, he took it and hold it as a proof of royalty because without it he will definitely die immediate the blue moon rear touches his body. The crown prince was scared as a boy he was and he looked at his mother who gave him a you can do it look and he was a little eased but was scared of what would happen as he have not witnessed something of that nature before.

The blue moon appeared and shined half way on him which got everyone confused especially those that knew about the blue moon and have experience a new kings coronation, they knew including the elders immediately that something was wrong, it is either the coronation was not approved by God or that Prince Selem will become wicked and deal with the people badly when he become the next king, this is our chance to stop him but there is no other male child in the palace to replace him and Prince Wgheneo has already denounced his right of becoming the next king of Khah’s Kingdom, so we have no other option than to continue with the coronation that way ignoring the signs but the old understood the whole think that the blue moon have sent a wrong signal to the people of Khah’s kingdom, they knew immediately that something was wrong either with the crown prince or the purple crystal but they held their peace, not wanting the whole kingdom to know what was going on as majority were just young men who really do not need to be frightened.

Uncle Hei-Ran asked Prince Selem to step on the rear of the blue moon as the blue moon light was not on him but on the other end of the circle he was standing on, so that the power of the purple crystal will come out for the perfection of his coronation and kingship ordination.

Prince Selem stepped on the rear of the blue moon and immediate his garment was changed to snow white and his face was like the face of an angel and his hair grew like a fiery hair, pure and snow white too and the blue moon changed to yellow and immediately went back inside the heavens again but his face, cloths and hair didn’t go back to the normal colour and immediately everyone present in the whole hall fell on their faces and shouted hail King Selem and Long Live King Selem.

King Selem was very happy and waved his two fingers in the air and everyone rose waiting for his first speech as the new king of Khah’s Kingdom and King Selem said,

I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow. Throughout King Whune’s life. His majesty the King – my beloved father – was an inspiration and example to me and to all the royal family, and we owe him the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their father, for his love, affection, guidance, understanding and example.

King Whune and his first wife Queen Doris’s was a life well loved, a promise with destiny kept, and they are mourned most deeply in their passing. That promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today.

Alongside the personal grief that all my family are feeling, we also share with so many of you in the Khah Kingdom, in all the kingdoms where the king has visited and helped, in the commonwealth and across the eastern regions of the world, a deep sense of gratitude for the more than 20 years in which my father, as king, served the people of Khah Kingdom.

In the early years of his reign, on his second reign as the king of Khah’s Kingdom, he pledged in a public announcement from Khah Kingdom to the commonwealth to devote his life, whether it be short or long, to the service of his people.

That was more than a promises: it was a profound personal commitment which defined his whole life. He made sacrifices for duty.

His dedication and devotion as sovereign never wavered, through times of change and progress, through times of joy and celebration, and through times of sadness and loss.

In his life of service, we saw that abiding love of tradition, together with that fearless embrace of progress, which make us great as nations. The affection, admiration and respect he inspired became the hallmark of his reign.

And, as every member of the royal family can testify, he combined these qualities with warmth, humour and an unerring ability always to see the best in people.

I pay tribute to my father’s memory as the king of Khah Kingdom and I honour his life of service today. I know that his assassination and death brings great sadness to so many of you and I share that sense of loss. Beyond measure, with you all.

When the king came to the throne, Khah Kingdom and the eastern part of the world were still coping with the privations and aftermath of the oppression of other kingdoms, and still living by the conventions of earlier times.

In the course of the last 20 years, we have seen our kingdom become one of many cultures and many faiths.

The operation of the Kingdom have changed in turn. But, through all changes and challenges, our kingdom and the wider royal family— elders, traditions and achievements I am so inexpressibly proud — have prospered and flourished. Our values have remained, and must remain, constant.

The role and the duties of monarchy also remain, as does the Sovereign’s particular relationship and responsibility towards the people — the people in which my own faith is so deeply rooted.

In that faith, and the values it inspires, I have been brought up by my father King Whune to cherish a sense of duty to others, and to hold in the greatest respect the precious custom and traditions, freedoms and responsibilities of our unique kingdom.

As the king himself did with such unswerving devotion, I too now solemnly pledge myself, throughout the remaining time God grants me, to uphold the custom and traditional principles at the heart of our kingdom.

And wherever you may live in the Khah Kingdom and territories across the eastern region of the world, and whatever may be your background or beliefs, I shall endeavour to serve you with loyalty, respect and love, as I have throughout my life.

My life will of course change as I take up my new responsibilities as the king of Khah Kingdom.

This is also a time of change for my family. I count on the loving help of my mother Queen Hermosa, my brother Prince Wgheneo, sister Princess Clara and my darling wife to be.

I know we will bring to the demands of our new role the steadfast devotion to duty on which I have come to rely so much.

As my own blood brother, Prince Wgheneo now assumes the position of my personal guard.

The whole crowd kept quiet and it was not a surprised to Prince Wgheneo as he was already expecting it.

I want also to express my love for my grandfather and Hei-Ran my uncle as they continue to build their lives in their different homes.

In the past two months we all came out as a kingdom, as a Commonwealth and indeed a united people, and lay my beloved father and step-mother to rest.

In our sorrow, let us remember and draw strength from the light of their examples.

On behalf of all the royal family, I can only offer the most sincere and heartfelt thanks for your condolences and support.

They mean more to me than I can ever possibly express.

And to my darling father, as you begin your last great journey to join our dear ancestors, I want simply to say this: thank you.

Thank you for your love and devotion to the royal family and to every single family of Khah Kingdom you have served so diligently all these years.
