Chapter 13

Drake was planning to just eat in peace at the foot of the wall beneath Poseidon’s cave, but someone threw an empty bowl at him, which shattered at his feet. Whatever chatter had been going on quickly died off as Drake looked up at the person responsible for the broken bowl. Sitting at a table set up nearby was a creature that was mostly human in appearance, but it was much taller than a human and had light-blue skin covering its overly muscular body. He wore a pair of brown animal fur pants, and his red eyes sneered at Drake as he picked his teeth with a fork, bare feet up on the table.

“Hey, newbie, I’m still hungry,” he said, his lower canine teeth jutting out past his lips. “Gimme your food.”
