A Hard Blow For Carl

Carl gaped at what Tony said, as did Patrick.

Tony was still holding his cell phone. His eyes were fixed on Patrick, exuding high confidence.

Frowning, Patrick took out his cell phone and checked what was on the screen.

The wrinkles on his forehead increased. He found an incoming notification about the two billion dollar transaction that Tony mentioned.

Patrick opened his m-banking to confirm whether the transaction had occurred or not.

And apparently, it did happen. Two billion dollars. Such an amount of money just went into his bank account!

Observing the changes in Patrick's expression, Carl, who had been filled with a bad feeling, became increasingly uncomfortable.

“What's wrong, Mr. Patrick?” he asked, taking two steps forward while looking at Patrick seriously.

Patrick turned to Carl, was silent for a moment, then answered, "Tony just transferred two billion dollars as he promised earlier."
