The Irrefutable Proof of Victory

Slap! Slap! Slap!

Tony slapped Bobby again severely. One more of his teeth fell and rolled on the floor.

Sasha, Josephine, and Jade were stunned, not believing what they had just seen.

Had Tony really gone crazy? Did he even know what he was doing?

“S-sorry. I am… sorry,” said Bobby, weekly. “F-forgive me… p-please…”

Tony froze his hand for a moment. Bobby’s face was now covered in bruises.

“You want me to stop slapping you, hah?” asked Tony.

“Y-yes… f-forgive me… p-please…” Bobby answered.

"Show the proof of the two million dollar transaction to my mother-in-law! Then I will stop slapping you," said Tony.

Bobby nodded weakly.

Nervously, Bobby reached into his trouser pocket to get his cell phone. His hand was shaking. He had difficulty even opening his m-banking app.

Tony waited irritably.

Meanwhile, after being silent for a while because she was shocked by what Tony had done, Sasha walked towards Tony with angry steps.

She clenched his fists, preparing to punch Tony in the back.

“You damn son-in-law! You always get us in trouble, damn it!" Sasha shouted as she aimed her fist at Tony's back.

But Tony quickly turned his body ninety degrees, blocking Sasha's fist and holding it.

“Mom, Bobby will show you the proof of the transfer of the two million dollars. You will know that I wasn't just bragging or saying nonsense," said Tony, looking at Sasha intensely.

Today’s Tony's behavior once again made Sasha speechless. She didn't seem to be facing Tony, his trash son-in-law, but another person with strong authority and charisma.

What really happened to him?

"T-there. T-that's the proof," said Bobby, holding out his cell phone screen to Tony.

Tony took Bobby's cell phone, checked what appeared on the screen, then showed it to Sasha.

“Here, Mom. Now you know who’s the one who won the bet," said Tony.

Tony let go of Sasha's fist so that Sasha could examine the proof of the two million dollar transfer clearly.

Sasha looked at Bobby's cell phone screen with eyebrows that almost met in the middle. Her mouth was wide open and she covered it with his left hand.

“You… you really got the two million dollars? In just three hours?” Sasha asked, looking at Tony in disbelief.

Tony nodded.

“But… where did you get it?” Sasha asked again.

Tony couldn't possibly tell her the truth. That would reveal his true identity. So, whether he liked it or not, he had to tell her a lie.

“I borrowed the money from some of my old friends. Don't worry, Mom, it will be my own debt. You guys don't need to think about it," said Tony.

For the time being, that was the reason he could think of. At least that could also explain why he had to go out for a few hours.

“What's wrong, Mom? What did this trash do this time?”

Josephine asked Sasha. She went down the stairs, heading towards where Sasha was standing.

"Look at this," said Sasha when Josephine was beside her, showing the proof of the transfer of the two million dollars.

“This is… for real?”

Josephine's eyes widened. She also covered her open mouth just like Sasha did earlier.

"So, you’re still saying that I tried to trick you guys?" Tony asked sarcastically, looking at Josephine with a mocking smile.

Josephine snorted in annoyance. She couldn't accept being treated like that by Tony.

She took Bobby's cell phone from Sasha's hand and then walked over to Bobby.

“Bobby, what does this mean? You said earlier that Tony hasn't transferred a penny to your account. Then what the hell is this?" asked Josephine while showing the transfer’s proof to Bobby.

Instead of answering Josephine’s question, Bobby took his cell phone and got into his car. Soon after, he started the engine.

Josephine and Sasha looked at Bobby questioningly. But Bobby didn't care. He was lucky that Tony didn’t make him pass out.

Now he just wanted to go. It’s not safe for him if he's this close to Tony.

Bobby drove his car away. He didn’t even say goodbye to Sasha, Josephine, or Jade.

“Now you guys realize who you should be defending, huh?” Tony quipped, smiling faintly then climbing the stairs, heading towards Jade who was looking at him worriedly.

“Mom, is this true? Is it true that this trash has transferred two million dollars to Bobby's account?" Josephine asked.

Sasha looked at Josephine irritably. Didn't Josephine just see the transfer proof herself?

But Sasha understood the confusion that Josephine was now feeling. She herself actually couldn't believe that his trash son-in-law had managed to collect two million dollars in two hours.

But, the proof of the transfer was irrefutable. No doubt about it.

Ring!

Sasha’s cell phone in her trouser pocket rang. She checked it. An incoming call from Josh.

“What's wrong, Josh?”

“Sasha, I have bad news. Just now Mom called me. She said that Tony won the bet. Tony has sent the proof of the transfer to her."

Sasha froze. One more irrefutable proof of Tony's victory.

She looked up, looking at Tony who seemed to be explaining something to Jade.

'I don't know if it's just me, but Tony today is really different. What does this mean?' she thought.

On the other side, Josh was still saying several other things to her, but Sasha was no longer listening.

Meanwhile in Bobby's car...

“Damn! Fuck! Bastard! Motherfucker!” Bobby cursed as he pounded his car dashboard until his palm turned red.

He never felt this humiliated in his life. Tony literally beat him up until he could no longer recognize his own face.

He even had a little difficulty keeping his eyes straight ahead, which was dangerous for someone who’s driving a car.

Tony's arrogant face when he slapped him earlier appeared in his mind. Bobby grinned and growled. He wanted to smash a baseball bat into Tony's face fiercely.

A few hours ago when he got the message from Tony, he was shocked but then tried not to think about it.

Tony might have already transferred the money, but will it make any difference? The answer was no. Bobby would keep pushing Jade and her family to accept his proposal.

But one thing ruined it all. Bobby had never thought that Tony would be that strong and terrifying.

Earlier in front of Jade and her family, Bobby was just like a weak animal and it hurt him badly.

“Damn you, Tony! You've just awakened a sleeping tiger! Now prepare to suffer!” Bobby said.

He took out his cell phone and made a phone call.

“Uncle Don, are you free? I want you to finish off someone. Don’t worry. As long as you kill him, I’ll pay the price!”
