The Red Scorpion Mafia

In a bar in the red district of Karnaan City.

Uncle Don had just finished his phone conversation with Bobby.

He was the leader of the Red Scorpion, one of the big mafia groups operating in Karnaan City.

“So, this time he wants me to get rid of a useless guy? How dare he insult me," said Uncle Don, then chuckled and drank his wine.

Bobby often asked for his help to do bad things in Karnaan City. And because he knew that Bobby’s father was a wealthy man, he always set high rates.

Usually, Bobby's requests were related to business matters; Bobby asked Uncle Don to mobilize his men to suppress or terrorize his business opponents, or to open a way for Bobby to develop his business.

But this time, Bobby asked him to finish off a man whose status was a trash son-in-law in the Robertson Family?

Uncle Don shook his head. He really wanted to punch Bobby because he felt insulted by him.

If the money Bobby had promised was not extraordinarily large, he would have refused his request.

“What's wrong, Uncle Don? Did the person who called you just now upset you?” asked a woman who was clinging to Uncle Don, deliberately pressing her boobs against his arm.

“Yeah, but he has a lot of money. So, never mind," said Uncle Don, drinking his wine again.

He then put his wine glass on the table in front of him, took out his cell phone, and made a phone call.

“Zake, come to the bar. I have a new mission for you," he said.

The next day, at the Robertson Family residence.

"You want to leave now?" Jade asked.

He and Tony were at the front. Tony had just gotten on the motorbike and was putting his helmet on his head.

“The earlier, the better. I have to get a new job as soon as possible so I can pay off my debt to my friends," said Tony after putting on his helmet.

Yesterday, he did tell the same lie to Jade. And to appease his beloved wife, now he went out early in the morning to look for work.

"But, will there be a problem? I mean, this motorbike hasn't been used for about two years. I think you should check with a repair shop first," said Jade.

The motorbike that Tony was riding was indeed an old one. Tony just fiddled with it and, finally, the engine could be started. However, Jade was worried that this old motorbike would act up and endanger her husband's life.

"Don’t worry, Jade. I'll stop by the repair shop," said Tony, starting the motorbike engine and getting ready to go.

"Okay then. Be careful," replied Jade.

Tony nodded. He drove the battered motorbike. The weird sound of the motorbike made Jade frown.

She hoped that Tony would actually stop by the repair shop first to check the condition of his father's motorbike.

"Jade, where is your husband going so early?" asked Josh who appeared and came down the stairs. In his hand, he held his car keys.

"Tony wants to look for a new job, Dad. He has to pay off his debt to his friends," answered Jade.

“Tch! That stupid son-in-law! How can he borrow two million dollars to pay off his debt to Bobby? That's just digging a hole to cover another one. I’ll smash him for sure if he gives us trouble in the future," Josh cursed, walking towards the garage.

Jade sighed. Tony had done what he could to settle things with Bobby. Why can't his family appreciate Tony's efforts just a little?

“Btw, Jade, if your husband comes home without a job, tell him that my friend is looking for a security guard to work at the factory. The salary isn't big, but at least he won’t be a complete burden on our family," said Josh after opening the garage door.

“Okay, Dad. I'll tell him later," Jade responded.

She sighed again. Security guard. So far Tony's work has always been related to the profession of guarding and securing things.

It would take decades for Tony to pay off his debt if the job he did was only a lowly job like that.

Sometimes Jade fantasized about her husband working for a big company, occupying a strategic position, and earning millions of dollars per month.

"Well, one day he might actually be in that position. Who knows," she muttered.

She then climbed up the stairs, back to her room.

Meanwhile, in front of a small repair shop, about five kilometers from the Robertson Family residence.

Tony sat waiting in a small chair, watching a female mechanic doing something to his father-in-law's battered motorbike.

A few dozen minutes ago, the motorbike suddenly broke down. The engine died and couldn't be started again.

Tony had to push the motorbike until he finally found this small workshop.

“Looks like it will take time. Are you in a hurry?” the female mechanic asked, without looking at Tony.

"No, I’m not. Just make sure this motorbike won't break down again later," answered Tony.

"I'll try my best. This is an old motorbike. Its condition is no longer so good."

“Yeah, just do what you can.”

Tony somewhat regretted riding that battered motorbike.

He was going to use a taxi, but his wife suddenly asked him to drive the motorbike to cut the cost.

That was the consequence that Tony had to bear for his lie.

And now, if he had to hail a taxi and leave his father-in-law's motorbike in this small repair shop, he was worried that he would only be able to take it back in the late afternoon.

He was heading to the military headquarters in the city. He promised to meet Mark there.

Yesterday morning before noon, after making a two million dollar transaction at the bank using his black card, Mark appeared again in front of him.

As on two previous occasions, he convinced Tony again that the country really needed him to win the ongoing war in the North.

Annoyed by Mark's persistence, Tony finally softened, saying that they could discuss this matter later at military headquarters.

That way, he could at least get Mark out of his way and give him time to sort things out with Bobby.

“Hey, you! Are you the one named Tony, the trash son-in-law of the Robertson Family?”

Someone suddenly asked that question out loud.

Tony turned to his right and found dozens of men with fierce faces staring at him and heading towards him.

Each of them carried weapons, both blunt and sharp.

Tony stood up. He didn't know who these people were, but he knew very well that they intended to cause damage and chaos.

"What’s wrong? Who are they?" asked the female mechanic. Now, even from her position, he could see those fierce-faced men.

“You just focus on repairing my motorbike. Let me handle them," said Tony.

What Tony just said made those people angry.

“Damn! He underestimated us, Boss!”

“We should give him a lesson so that he will know who he's dealing with!"

"Let's just finish him off, Boss! If necessary, we'll mutilate him!"

The man called Boss snorted and looked at Tony with burning eyes. He was like a bull ready to charge the bullfighter.

“Beat him!!!” shouted the Boss, and the fierce-faced men ran towards Tony, shouting and raising their weapons high.

But then…

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The first four men who tried to attack Tony were thrown into the street.
