Mrs. Grace and Aldo, who were about to have a drink, put their cups back down when they heard snapping.

Mr. Ibra immediately calmed down Madame Paula, who was suddenly angry.

"Paula, I invited them here. Please behave yourself!" pleaded Mr. Ibra.

"What should I do, father? That woman doesn't belong in our house. Just look at her dress like a hobo," Mrs. Paula retorted.

"However, they are still our guests, Paula!" defended Mr. Ibra.

"You call them guests? What kind of guests would mess up our sofa?" retorted Madame Paula, glaring at Madame Grace.

Aldo, who had gotten his fair share of insults from others, could only smile to himself. He really regretted Madame Paula's attitude, which was very arrogant.
