"Country girl, what are you doing here? Are you eavesdropping on mom and dad's conversation?" Amrin asked.

Kelly's heart was racing with shock, even more shocked when she found out that Amrin was the one reprimanding her. Kelly didn't want her stepmother to know she was in Mr. Ibra's house, so she hurried back to Majid's room.

"Where are you going, village girl?" shouted Majid.

"Amrin, what are you doing there? Who are you talking to, where have you been? I've been looking for you all day," asked Mrs. Paula.

Amrin stepped into the living room, then turned to Mrs. Grace and Aldo.

Amrin asked back and didn't answer her mother's question,

"Who are they, mom?"

"I'm asking, who were you talking to?" Madame asked back with a high intonation.

"I was just talking to myself, mom! There was no one there!" Amrin replied evasively.

After Amrin answered her mother's question, she again pointed with her index finger as she asked again,

"Who are they? Why are they homeless?"
