Lucas was pacing in the garden when he got a call from Blake.

“It’s time for your pre wedding shoot. We need to get it ready today in preparation for the wedding this weekend”, Blake said on the phone while Lucas let out a deep sigh and nodded.

He dropped the call and sat on a chair that laid in the middle of the garden. He had a thousand thoughts in his head but what was most awkward was the fact that he couldn’t come up with a plan despite the thoughts.

He couldn’t help but wonder if Emily now saw him as a coward since he wasn’t making any plans to come save her.

Another sigh left his lips. His grandfather was watching his any move and this simply meant that if he made any attempt to go find her, he would be found.

“What do I do now?” Lucas asked as he dug his hands into his head in frustration.

The life of a rich man wasn’t close to what he expected. Was it even worth it?

A part of his heart thought of dropping the entire title and responsibility for Denver. However, he reca

Lucas sighed deeply and wiped sweats off his forehead. He forced another smile as he took Ann’s hands and started leading her into the photo studio session. The photography session soon started and even if Lucas was uninterested in it, he knew that there was great need to smile and pretend that he liked what was going on. It soon came to an end and he swiftly rushed out of the studio and started heading towards his car. Ann caught sight of him almost immediately and grabbed his hands, quite confused by the speed her used in leaving. “Lucas, we are supposed to have dinner together”, Ann complained as she looked at him with a worried gaze in her eyes. Lucas could see how much she suspected him because of how she kept staring into his eyes with her big eyes. He cleared his throat softly and took a hold of her hands. He knew Ann to be a very sensitive and observant young lady and the last thing he wanted at the moment was getting to the wrong side of his father’s heart. “I will be b

He remained silent as Denver made his steps into the mansion, failing to notice the presence of Lucas and Blake at the garage. “He is definitely up to something”, Blake said in a whisper and Lucas nodded in affirmation. “How do we find Emily?” Blake asked again and for a moment, Lucas was lost for words. He drew in a deep breath after which he shifted his eyes to Denver’s car that was parked by the corner. “We should plant a tracker on that. It would help us follow him around”, Lucas suddenly blurted out the minute the thought clicked into his head. Blake smiled in understanding and lowered his head in respect. Lucas waved at him to get to work just as he sauntered into the building to catch a glimpse of what Denver was up to. He heard muffled v

You are the one responsible for all of this”, Emily barked angrily as she rolled her eyes at Denver who was smiling mischievously. “I bring you news from the new couple in the city. I mean, Lucas and Ann”, Denver dropped and for a minute, Emily thought that she had just heard wrongly.

However, Lucas had sneaked into his office and taken the keys where he hid them. That was going to be their hiding place right until everything got sorted out. “This place is pretty cool. Are you sure that you’re meant to be here?” Emily asked as Lucas led her into the small but fancy house, facing the ocean and perfect for the eye view. “What do you think? I had to steal the keys because I was certain that his eyes would never go that direction”, he explained to Emily who sighed deeply and lowered her eyes to the ground. She was deeply bothered by the turn out of events and most especially, she was worried for Lucas. She never wanted to place him in a situation where his position as the heir would be in trouble. “Lucas…you’ve done enough for me. However, I’m beginning to think that it’s going too far. Before Lucas could make a movement out of the location, a gang of boys had gathered already, surrounding him. The old man couldn't just stop calling him a thief even after he had explained to him that the money belonged to him. However, at some point in time, Lucas couldn't blame them. He had not taken his time to think through his actions. He should have known that it was definitely going to be outrageous for an odd looking man like him to display such huge amount of money, even if he was in disguise. No one but him knew he was in disguise as a poor man after all.Soon enough, it looked to him like the old man had filled the gang in with the wrong details. That explained the disapproving and angry stares they gave to him. It was unfortunate that even as he tried to plead with them so he could tell them the truth from the misconception the old man had, they had began to throw blows at him, kicking and slapping him at the same time.Lucas considered their action to be inconsiderate, i

    Chapter 250

She had thought that the smell of drugs, syringe, and possible vomit had only conjured in her dream. However, she was all wrong when she opened up her eyes. Her first sight was the bulb producing light which was on, and the rolling fan. She stayed put for a while as she tried hard to realize where she was. Sadly, the harder she tried, the more pain she felt. The young lady closed her eyes shut again. This was in a bid to calm her hurting head, and also see if she could get anything. When she did it for the longest time she could remember, and nothing happened, she opened back her eyes. It was at that time she used the opportunity to look around where she was. Definitely, she had not been wrong when the smell told her she could be in a hospital. Even if her memory had a bit of lagging behind, she could as well recognize what an hospital looked like. But, she still couldn't think past the question she had. Why was she in a hospital? She thought. Despite the struggles, she finally
