Lucas walked into the dining room with his head held high and a bright spark in his eyes that countered how he had earlier felt.

Blake was right. He wasn’t going to give Denver the chance to feel that he won already. He was going to fight till the end until he proves that Denver wasn’t close to who he claimed to be.
