“I need you to come out right now!” The loud bang on her door and Veronica's voice woke Ruby up in the morning. “I'm going to kill you if he is in there with you!” She threatened as she continued to bang the door. “Ma'am,you can't be doing this. “Damian?” She called out in surprise, unable to believe he was actually standing in front of her room. Mr Scott has not messaged them of when they should come over to his villa again so they had no reason to leave the hotel. Ruby was strolling through the hotel's garden when Veronica suddenly appeared from nowhere and grasped her neck, tightening her grip with a menacing intensity. As Damian cuddled with Veronica, his gaze drifted to the bathroom slippers Ruby had given him. He suddenly felt the need to return them to Ruby immediately since she would also need them. "I need to step out for a minute," he told Veronica, who lifted her head from his chest, curiosity in her eyes as she watched him get out of bed. "Where are you off to? Do you want me to come along?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of suspicion,her gaze still not leaving him Damian tried to sound nonchalant. "I just need to return some slippers to my secretary, Ruby. She might need them." Veronica's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on the pink slippers. "I'll take care of it," she said, her tone firm, as she got out of bed and pointed at the slippers. "Is that the one?" Damian's heart skipped a beat, realizing that Veronica might question Ruby of why her slippers were with him. His sleepwalking was to be a secret and Veronica might pressure Ruby into telling her. Ruby wore a pair of dark wash trousers with a black t-shirt and a white sneakers. It was just a bar so there was no need to overdress including the fact that she didn't want to impress Jeremy too much and her plan was to tell him that she has a boyfriend so that his feelings for her won't run deep. As she got ready,her phone vibrated and it was a message from Mr Scott's Secretary stating that they would be available tomorrow morning to close off the deal. “I hope you won't give us excuses again tomorrow because I'll be the first to smash a bottle on your head" Ruby said to herself and applied her lip gloss and mascara before leaving her room. She was going to branch Damian's room first and tell him about Mr Scott's Secretary message before heading to the bar. When she got there and knocked on the door,it was Veronica who answered. Jeremy was a really soft and nice person and Ruby really hoped he would meet someone as amazing as he was. It was when she told him that she and her boss would be returning back to New York soon that she learnt that he was also based in New York. That piece of information made Ruby realize that Jeremy wouldn't just be a random friend she met in Texas but someone she would actually be a really good friend with even in New York. After they had both enjoyed their night,they said goodbyes to each other and they both went their separate ways. Ruby got out of the elevator and saw Damian lying on the floor, drunk and alone. She had been having a good time with Jeremy, but this sight made her feel worried and upset. There was no sign of Veronica. She was still the same, shameless and reckless. Just like how she slept with Nathan and even got pregnant. The fact that she even kissed the guy in Damian's presence irritated her more and she wished he would remember that part and just end things with her. Ruby couldn't look at Damian as he walked towards the car. She was the one that initiated the kiss and he might have remembered it. That was what she was thinking,but on the other hand,Damian was trying to pretend like he didn't remember anything. Hiding behind the fact that he was drunk was the best thing to do since he wasn't ready to talk about it with her. “We have just 15 minutes to get to his Villa” he said to her with his gaze fixed on his watch. Ruby sighed in relief when she saw that he doesn't look like someone that remembers anything. Damian and Ruby, stepped out of the car and onto the driveway of Mr. Scott's villa. As they approached the entrance, the door swung open, and a smartly dressed butler greeted them with a smile. "Welcome sir, Mr. Scott is expecting you. Please, follow me." The man said to them politely. “We are lucky enough to get a warm reception today” Damian whispered to Ruby. Damian and Ruby followed the Butler through the foyer of the house into
