Chapter 17: The Fortress of Shadows

Victor approached the fortress with a growing sense of dread. The structure was ancient, its towering walls covered in the tangled roots of time itself. The air around it buzzed with dark energy, a palpable force that threatened to crush anyone who dared to enter. As he stepped closer, the massive gates groaned open as if responding to his presence.
