Back at the Wellington Group company, Aliyah glanced around the opulent foyer, her expression growing increasingly somber.

"Mother, perhaps we should consider leaving," she suggested quietly, her tone tinged with resignation.

Nora shook her head, her resolve unwavering. "No, we must wait for Fredrick. He went to speak on our behalf, and we owe it to him to stay," she insisted, her voice laced with determination.

Aliyah sighed, her concern evident in her eyes. "But what if he can't successfully sway them ?" she asked, her voice filled with uncertainty.

Nora's gaze hardened, her jaw set in determination. "Then we will cross that bridge when we come to it," she replied resolutely. "But for now, we wait.”

"I can't blindly wait here with you, Mother. I just can't wait patiently for a negative result.”

Nora's patience waned as she listened to Aliyah's pessimistic remarks. "Aliyah, we need to remain hopeful. Fredrick wouldn't have gone to bat for us if he didn't believe there was a chance,"
