Gabriel reached the corner and found nothing. With a sigh, he turned back to his car and drove off.

As his car disappeared down the street, a hooded man emerged from the shadows, a smug smile on his face. His phone rang, and he answered it promptly.

"Yes, I'm keeping an eye on him," he said before ending the call.

Later in the evening, Camella arrived at her family's house and messaged her mother to come out and meet her. When Nora stepped outside, Camella approached her with a stern expression.

"Hello, Mother," Camella greeted, her voice tight. "What did you want to discuss?"

Nora waved her hand dismissively and turned towards the house. "Come inside, Camella."

Camella shook her head. "If I wanted to come in, I wouldn't have asked you to come out."

Nora turned back, eyebrows raised. "Are you alright? This is your house too. Don't act like a stranger."
