JOURNEY EIGHT

~UNCLE LANCE'S POV~

I couldn't believe the zyganach could have done that, being the zyganach does not mean you can make decisions without consulting the emperors and the sages, I walked down the dignitary terrain as I thought of the rash decision made my the zyganach. I just left the starry meeting and the meeting ended in a mess. I called on the transtubes through the help of vMax, as I was about to head to the training ground when ice sage came and reported a constantly reoccurring incident to me again, the 'harvester of lives' is trying to get through the power valley again but this time, when we caught him, he smirked. Icesage said, feeling a little bit worried. Masked within his feeling of worry, fear was implanted, it was like I could see through his mind. How could such a calm man have a lot of complex feelings, 'Just let him go' I said, and icesage went with a more puzzled look on his face, but he wasn't too surprised, I always freed the guy whenever he was caught like this. I suddenly remembered the little guy's mom lying in the hospital, I really needed to send someone help to her.

~Dave's pov~

So what's the diety's potion, I asked puzzled, 'unfortunately, I don't have any information about the diety's potion and it's etymology',vMax said. OK then take me to the training ground, I requested. I entered the room and went back to my usual sitting spot but I didn't meet the strange black clothed guy there. I have a lot of questions to ask, maybe I will ask him, he seems to be quite less busy and I can't find uncle Lance around either. I was about to leave for the room to tell vMax to help me find uncle Lance when the door suddenly opened and I suddenly found the guy in black being held by some armored men and pushed through the door. But instead of his usual darkened mood, he had quite a brightened mood, I walked closer to him and he suddenly stopped, he then continued and walked closer to the sitting spot and then he stopped again, and spoke for the first time. 'what do you want'? He asked, but he still didn't turn back. Sorry to disturb you, I said almost shaking, this guy has a formidable demeanor and he really casts a big shadow. I just need to ask you some questions. I continued, he didn't reply but suddenly started to move towards me but I kept a safe distance too.

After following him for a while, we finally come to a halt at where we sat earlier. He sat with a large thud and urged me to ask my questions, what's your name?, I asked, 'I don't have one' he answered , abruptly, without even blinking, there's no way you don't have a name, I said, with a smile, trying to get familiar with him, he took a quick glance and insisted he didn't have a name. I quickly noticed his face and found out that he has clear blue eyes like the sea, it looked as if no speck of dust would go by without him noticing. Then what do people call you then?, I insisted, my curiosity will never settle with such an answer.

~lightning blade~

People call me the 'lighting blade, harvester of lives' I said trying to get rid of the inquisitive guy, if it were two years ago, I would have cut off his head with one strike and made it fly over three metres in the air but I am not so perfect at martial art without my sword. And my combat skills are still the best it will ever be, but I am still happy figuring out the security configuration of the power valley. The bugging guy seemed shocked and confused about the name i told him, but he still had the a little idea about my abilities, even ice sage which is the sage in charge of controlling the emotions of the soldiers and keep them as cool as monks but he couldn't keep his calm when he saw me smirk. The bugging guy asked a lot of question which shows he knows nothing about this underground HQ. An idea suddenly popped in my head, if I can get this guy one of the books in the library and have him explain all of the hard parts since from his explanation, he went to school, that would help me grasp some ancient combat styles. Do you understand historical languages?, I asked without even paying him anymind. Yes, I was thought for a whole year at history class. He replied, with a complex look. How about we make a deal? I asked again, his face suddenly went sullen but he was keen to hear, you translate some books for me and I answer all your questions, I said, then he replied affirmatively so I suddenly set out to go and get the book stealthily from the secret library behind the power valley. I told the guy to wait for me so I can quickly get the book of ancient martial arts from their library. I had no time to wait anymore as I planned my escape step by step and day by day. I asked the transtubes to get me to the the beginning of the valley as I set to face the security system again.

The only reason I could escape the security system the last time was that I had an armored lead card that prevents the radiations from detecting my presence so the other non-radiant traps were something I could just defeat with my agility and flexibility and the only reason I was caught last time was that ice sage was following me stealthily and with such a coid guy as ice sage following you, you could hardly even detect his heartbeat or footstep, he lived in Antarctica for almost twenty years and learned masking first hand from the icefox which was a master of disguise. icesage could slow down his heart rate, make shallow and undetected breaths and not even make footsounds when he walked. I could do those but I don't really have the abilities unlike him that learned straight from the masters. Luckily he wasn't on my tail so I have the chance to make it this time. I took a deep breath and dashed forward like a cheetah running after it's prey, after a few contortions, I finally made it to the end uncaught. I walked into the library and picked a book containing a panaroma of martial art moves, it was a very good thing to begin with. I beat the security system again and hid the book under my clothes. I maintained my cold demeanor so I wouldnt get caught and headed for the combat room. I looked down the long room and I didn't find the bugging guy, so I walked down the room to wait for him and actually look at the book. The room is long and nobody will figure out what kind of book I am holding from far away. After walking a few meters, some soldiers went into a duel but I did not even pay them anymind. It seemed they wanted me to acknowledge them but they all didn't deserve my presence, only a few would be able to withstand a minute with me in this whole HQ. I was walking past them when I suddenly felt a blade across my arm, blood started to gush out immediately. I could have easily just dodged it but I didn't want the book to fall from my body so I just took the blade, I threw a deadly glance at the guy and he feigned 'accidental strike' so I just ignored him and walked further, I have encountered so many blade cuts in my entire lifetime that my brain would be the least surprised of this one. As I moved farther both of the soldiers in the duel were dancing towards me again and if I do not fight back, an afraid they might expose me. I heightened my senses and suddenly the guy who feigned accidental strike wielded his blade at me again but this time he was willing to hit what was protuding from my body which was the book I hid under my cloth. I quickly swerved a bit and send a strong hand strike at the soldier's abdomen. Suddenly an equally swift hand appeared and was about to block my strike so I changed direction and hit the guy on the shoulder, he shuddered and landed on the floor brutally.
