JOURNEY THIRTY-ONE

"Wait, now?" I said, clearly confused.

"Yes, the place only opens at night," HOL said.

I quickly took permission from him so I could inform my mum. While HOL packed some of the things we needed, I ran to my mum's room and knocked on the door.

"You can come in," my mum said.

I opened the door and met her meditating on an invisible platform she made from energy. It seemed like she was afloat, tapping energy from her energy dispenser. She was clearly healing herself.

"Mum, I will have to be on my way right now. I want to accompany HOL to a place that apparently only opens at night."

"Hmm!" My mum heaved a sigh and said, "That means you are going to the 'expanse of warriors.' Please be careful. Make sure you don't die."

I was suddenly taken aback, because whenever my mum said "don't die" that meant she noticed that danger was coming. I nodded in reply and bid her goodbye.
