The city of the easterners has been destroyed; the houses were set ablaze; the general was caught alive; while the king was killed by Carl through an arrow, none of the easterners were left alive except the general, who was taken along with the Vikings.

King Erik tied the hand of the general and made him run after his horse. Erik punished the general until they reached the Vikings. Erik told his warriors to tie the general up at the gathering square. The children of the Vikings were made to throw dirt and waste products at the general. One kid will come to his face and urinate, while others will throw faeces at his face.

Erik and his council, along with his sons, were celebrating their successful raid, drinking and eating, and having fun.

"The easterners are no more; the eastlands now belong to the Vikings," Janssen shouted.
