CHAPTER 2

"Don't panic, it's a good news. She already knows about it because I told her.

"Then what is it all about?" Thomas asked.

“Uh... I'm sorry Thomas as much I would love to tell you? I can't.” Mariana said.

"And why not?" Thomas asked.

"That's because I already made a promise to your wife before I got here that I wouldn't tell you anything about it." Mariana said.

“The reason behind me not telling you is because she told me not to. So I'm gonna keep my words to my dear friend. But don't worry she told me she will be the one to tell you everything. She just wanna make it as a surprise for you Thomas. So If you want to know exactly what it is as soon as possible, make it quick. Cause she's waiting for you right now to come pick her up at my house. So hurry up cause I have to prepare dinner for my husband, before he comes back home. I'm waiting outside Thomas don't keep me waiting." Mariana said.

"Ok then I'll make it quick." Thomas replied.

So he rushed in and took his bag and went to Mariana's home dragging his horse with him.

When they got to Mariana’s house, Allie was on the bed smiling and relaxing. Thomas rushed towards her, holding her hands.

"Your hands are freezing Allie, are you alright?" Thomas asked.

"Yes Thomas I'm better now, I just wanna go home and make something for you to eat cause it has really been a rough day for us both." Allie said.

"Oh sweetie, I can't thank you enough for your care, but you don't look so good to me. Come on let's go home, and I'll be the one to cook for tonight". Thomas said.

"Aww, that's so sweet of you Thomas. Hey Allie why didn't you tell me your husband is so nice, and you never told me his so cute?" Mariana asked, while preparing dinner for her husband.

They both giggled.

"No seriously! When I knocked at your house, seeing your husband for the first time I was really carried away because he is so cute and charming. Allie you are really lucky you found him first. And you two look great together and I love that in a couple." Mariana said.

"Aww, thanks Mariana." Allie said.

"Why don't you guys wait for a bit, I'm already preparing something for us to eat together before you go? And please don't say no to me as an answer." Mariana said.

"Alright dear we'll wait" Allie said.

Few minutes later, they ate together and talked almost half an hour until Thomas said to Allie that it's getting late.

"Alright." Allie replied.

"Thank you so much for your care Mariana I really appreciated everything you did for my wife." Thomas said.

"It's fine really. Besides she's my best friend and I would have done much more than that if I had the chance to Thomas." Mariana said happily.

"Hey Allie, I want you to take this medicine each morning it will ease you quickly whenever you get dizzy again and this other one will work for what we discussed earlier." Mariana said.

"Thanks Mariana, please do say hi to your husband for us when he returns." Allie replied.

"Of cause I will, bye." Mariana said waving.

Thomas lifted Allie up on his horse taking her back home.

On their way home Thomas was curious to know what Allie and Mariana discussed when he was away. So he asked.

"Allie?"

"Yes honey." She replied.

"What did you and Mariana discussed about while I was away? She told me it's gonna be a surprise from you that she wouldn't say anything until you told me. So, what was it?"

"Oh Mariana, she really kept her word. Don't you worry Thomas, I will tell you everything when we get home okay I promise?" Allie replied.

"Ok then, I hope it's something good."

"Don't worry honey, you'll see." Allie replied.

"If that's the case, I guess I have to hurry up to hear something good tonight." Thomas said while Allie smiled.

Getting home, Thomas lifted Allie on his arms and took her inside the house. Dropping her on the bed, he wanted to go make another fire but Allie grabbed Thomas tightly.

"Is there something wrong?" Thomas asked.

"Not exactly, it's about the surprise." Allie said.

"Okay, what about it?"

Allie started crying slowly.

"Hey,why are you crying?" Thomas asked.

"We've waited so long Thomas, and finally we made it." Allie said.

"About what honey? I'm getting worried already." Thomas asked.

"Mariana told me I'm pregnant Thomas." Allie said happily with tears.

"Allie are you for real right now?" Thomas asked.

"Yes honey it's true I'm pregnant."

Thomas started crying happily along with Allie.

"I can't believe this is actually happening. I mean we've waited so long for this Allie, for so long." Thomas said.

"I know honey I couldn't believe my ears either, when Mariana told me I'm pregnant. And I think that was why I got dizzy in the first place." Allie said.

"That means I'm gonna be a father soon? Thomas asked with a smile.

"Yes honey and I'm gonna be a mother too, we should celebrate Thomas." Allie said.

"Of cause sweetie, we will I promise. But first, I'll get you some fruits. Just stay put everything is on me now tonight." Thomas said with joy in his heart.

After giving his wife some fruits, Thomas did everything needed to be done that day. He didn't even let his wife touch a thing, he did all the work with a lot of joy in his heart. It was really an amazing day for them.

Nine months later when Allie was about to give birth, Allie became sick. Thomas became so worried about her and his unborn baby. So he decided to visit Allie's friend Mariana.

Knocking the door, Mariana's husband James opened the door. They've never met in person before, and they barley knew each other.

"Oh hi, I'm Thomas so glad to meet you in person. I don't know if your wife told you about me but she's a friend to my wife Allie." Thomas said.

"Of cause I know Allie, she's like a daughter to me. Call me James, my wife always talks about her whenever I return from work. I'm glad to meet you too Thomas. Please come on in and make yourself at home." James replied.

"Thanks James." Thomas said.

"Is your wife in?" Thomas asked.

"Oh no she went out to grab some few things she'll be back soon. Want a beer?" James asked.

"Yeah thanks, this would cheer me up a bit.” Thomas said drinking a bit from it.

“Hmm, this tastes so good.” Thomas said.

"Sure it does, this is one of the best beer I've ever tasted in Lumina village. I bought a lot of them ha ha.” James replied and drank some too.

"So tell me, what's the main reason you came?" James replied.

"Oh about that, it's my wife Allie. She's really sick a..."

"What? Allie is sick?" James asked.

"Yes, and I don't even know the cause of the problem. That is why I came here to see if Mariana could help me do anything about it." Thomas said.

"This is really bad Thomas and leaving her alone at home like that is kind of a bit strange don't you think?" James asked.

"Yeah I thought about that too, but I don't have much of a choice coming here." Thomas replied.

"You know what? You go back home and watch over her and when Mariana comes back we'll be there. Ok?"

"Thanks James you are a life saver." Thomas said.

"Now hurry up we'll be there soon." James said.

Back at home while Allie was asleep, she began having this strange dream. It was the necklace making those dreams and it started glowing. In her dream, she saw a woman with a very long hair holding a crystal staff starring at the lake. Allie was surprised seeing this strange woman.

"Who are you?" Allie asked

She turned back looking at Allie, she was very beautiful and she said.

"I am Athena, guardian of the lake and to that unborn child you are carrying."

"What on earth are you talking about?" Allie asked because she was really confused.

"That unborn child you have there, is the world’s only hope for peace my child.” Athena said.

“World’s only hope,what do you mean exactly?” Allie asked.

“Just as the prophecy was foretold, there is a dead soul called The Monstrous. It has been buried for thousands of years, hidden in a kingdom and will rise again. Only your child could stop it when it rises, otherwise there will be nothing left of this world. Now that you are still alive, you must do whatever you can to protect that child no matter the cost.” Athena said.

"Wait, what do you mean by that?" Allie asked.

"After the baby is born, terrible things will start happening and we must do everything we can to save this child together because that child is our last hope.

"No, this are all lies." Allie said.

"I'm sorry child, I wish they were." Athena replied.

Something's can't be undone my child." Athena said.

"No! This, this is just a dream, it's not going to happen and my child is not a sacrifice for the world." Allie said angrily.

As soon as Allie woke up quickly after having such a strange dream, her sickness disappeared. Few minutes later Thomas came back from Mariana's house and saw Allie on the bed.
