Omaha City, Nebraska State
It was noon, and the moon was waxing crescent in Simmon Street, Omaha City, Nebraska State. Clark had just finished his meal of Cornish hen with wild rice and carrots. He waggled outside of his cottage which was situated in an area abridged of people inhabiting the streets. He gazed at the dark woods before him and heard the wood ring with shrill cries of the birds that hovered around. A huge grin appeared on his face because he knew that they were bats cowering away from the scene because of his presence. All of a sudden, his eyes twitched in terror at the horrendous figure that was before him and he cringed in fear. His heart pounded in distress as he began to weigh the nefarious creature. "Ooh my gosh!" He flinched backwards in fear as he headed to pick up the broom that lay at a designated area on the porch of the house. The giant lizard-like creature waggled around, squinting at him dreadfully. He suddenly had a clearer view of the creature and noticed its red eyes and large body and gulped down his spit. "What the hell do I do now?" He exclaimed as he flinched backwards, once more, appalled and slumped on the platform of the porch of his house. The creature growled at him impatiently and disappointedly as if it was expecting him to attack first, then it hoodwinked him about the direction he was to make the attack, making Clark more bewildered that he had to slump on the floor. The only identity Clark had was the fact that he had lost his parents to some kind of monstrosity that he couldn't fathom up till now. So far, he has decided to move into this town about a few weeks. Even though he had heard rumours about the city being hunted by supernatural beings like monsters and other supernatural creatures, he took the warnings with frivolity. Although a part of him felt whittled of boldness and bereft of any impending actions to face the beast, he knew he had to somehow summon courage. The beast leapt at him and he held the broom in defence, but suddenly it was cut down immensely by something hammer-like that went back to the presumed wielder in a swift motion which made him rise briskly on his feet to glance at the irrefutable being that had just saved his life. He could hear the roaring sound of lightning that hovered around his house which was too subtle to believe. He gazed in terror at the lifeless body of the beast on the floor, stained with its wine-coloured blood that diffused sporadically around the entrance of his cottage. He suddenly heard some movements. "Who are you?" His left brow creased in curiousity, as he held his broom still in defence. "Ooh! Big brother! Just drop the broom. You look so pathetic," A tall silhouette of a man that had a dark figure along with the silhouette of a lady of average size appeared and waggled towards Clark's presence from the dark woods. He could see them vividly now and saw how tall and intense the face of the man was. He was indeed handsome and had a fixed stern face and a cape behind him. The lady was very beautiful and she had long curly black hair with a lean physique. He noticed that the black silhouette he saw of the man was part of his image, as it flipped to his humanoid image briskly which made him gasp in astonishment. "It's okay big brother. There is no need to fear. I am Frozen Claws and this is Storm Bender," The lady spoke first in a friendly manner. "What the hell!" He slumped to the floor of the porch of his cottage again after excessively flinching backwards in fear. "Yes, big brother. We are your siblings and you are our big brother. We have been looking for you and we finally found your scent," Storm Bender beamed with a hopeful smile. "I can't believe this! How come you bear such names, Storm Bender and Frozen Claws and where the hell are you both from? And why do you claim to be my siblings, when I know that my parents died and I moved on to live a normal life?" Clark snapped at them, pointing his broom at them as a pang of inquisitiveness washed over him. "That's because you aren't human. We are shadow beings even though we are humanoid and we don't have human names but shadow names," Storm Bender explained but Clark was finding it subtle to believe. "Dear big brother, you have to believe us when we say that your life is in danger and what you had just encountered is the least of your problems because they are the lowest in rank amongst the several horrendous creatures or beings out there that more of a threat to you," Frozen claws explained. Clark noticed that Frozen Claw's fingernails were more of claws and they were indeed iced and sharp, so he got the hint of her name. "Even if what you say is true, why don't I have memories of what you acclaim?" Clark heaved a subtle glint at them. Clark knew that he believed that his real name was Donald Morrison, but he chose to call himself Clark Morrison. "That's because you reincarnated and you lost all your memories. Enough, it's time I share the memories with you," Storm Bender growled as he moved further to touch Clark. "Stop! I'm warning you!" Clark caveated, but Storm Bender was too swift, as he used his supernatural speed to move close to him and touched his arms, holding him in a firm stance. In a blur of shock, Clark was briskly filled with old memories of his past with a particular event in emphasis and he knew that he saw himself in the memory that Storm Bender shared with him. "Enough! Out of here now!" He yipped under his lungs. "Big brother you have to understand," Storm Bender tried to explain persistently. "It's enough big brother, let's go and let him cogitate about the memory you have just shown to him," Frozen Claws mused, resisting Storm Bender. "Alright then," Storm Bender huffed and he and frozen claws held each other until they vanished through a supernatural portal that they both opened with their shadow aura, leaving Clark more terrified. Clark waggled lamely back into his cottage, pondering about the momentous memory that Storm Bender had shared with him and how he had such abilities to do so. As he slept that evening in his small room in his cottage, the memories that were shared terrified him further... The next morning, the sunlight was blatant in the city. In a tall mansion, across the streets, a tall male figure entered the lounge room. The inhabitants of the mansion could observe that he had a fake smile plastered on his face. "What's it this time, Benovio?" A female being said as she rose from the lounge she sat on and fluttered her eyelashes in curiosity. She waggled towards him, clinking her high heels impatiently, and he shook his head in devastation. "The head of shadow masters under shadow god Humu, the Dragon master was saved by the royals, Circe," Benovio announced with his tone laced with coldness. Circe stood like a dumb land post and the words of Benovio bubbled tempestuously in her mind. "Hmm... So it seems his siblings are finally here to rescue him," An average-sized bald being scumbled at the duo as he rose infuriated. "It appears so, Sacorah. If the royals aid him in reclaiming his lost memories, he will be able to annihilate all the evil shadow masters and beasts of the Lowest ranks, saving all of humanity," Benovio gritted his teeth, facing Sacorah who had just spoken. "We can't let that happen. We must ensure that the shadow beasts win and humanity is wiped out from the face of the earth, by simply annihilating them all in the city," Circe battered her eyelashes with a huge sigh. "Of course. That's the fact. This time, we have to send more shadow beasts," Sacorah suggested. "What are you doing?" A pang of inquisitiveness washed over Circe, as she observed Benovio bob his eyes shut and some red magical dots reflected from his forehead. "I'm contacting the rest of the shadow beasts," Benovio explained as he concentrated on what he had started... Frozen claws walked briskly straight down from her master bedroom in the tall huge mansion straight to the lounge room with a glass cup filled with wine. She used her freezing aura to make the wine cold and swigged it before she settled in the lounge room. She saw that Storm Bender was waiting for her. She suddenly scowled at him. "Hey don't give me that look!" Storm Bender scowled back and his shrewd little eyes twinkled roguishly. "We had to find him out and save him before those beasts get to kill him without his powers and he would have to reincarnate all over again. He is the Dragon master and our head, he had to be educated," Storm Bender mused ignoring Frozen Claw's scolding gaze. "I know, but you acted too grumpily and annoyingly persistent that you had to share the memories that shouldn't have been shared yet," Frozen claws scrunched her face. "I know, just leave him, he will remember everything and return to us," Storm Bender said. A knock was heard on the door and when it was opened a tall beautiful female humanoid being with blonde hair was seen by the beings at the entrance. "Vivian!" Storm Bender and Frozen Claws announced in unison when they saw her. "Yeah, I have searched through nook and cranny of everywhere in the city. I can sense he is here, but I haven't seen him. Tell me that you have seen him finally" Vivian fluttered her eyelashes in curiosity as she locked gazed with the both of them out of curiosity and inquisitiveness.Clark laid on his bed in his bedroom, asleep and a deep furrow appeared on his forehead while he slept. He was indeed having a dreadful nightmare of the exact memories that Storm Bender had shared with him. He stood and watched how everything played out like a movie. He observed that he was indeed in another world and he felt giddy. "Dad!" He saw himself in the dream in his supernatural form, like his siblings, only that he had the abilities of a dragon, as he gazed at how he transformed back from dragon to human after he had immediately fluttered his large wings. He was appalled and used his hands to stifle a shriek to control himself from clamouring to be heard in his dream about the past that happened. "Dad!" His dream version of himself yelled facing an average-sized man who was like him in his supernatural form. "Son, you have to lead the rest of the Shadow masters. I can try and shut the two shadow worlds and stop your mom and the rest beings," His Dad retorted, holding tw
They waggled towards Clark's side and he gave them heated stares as they came towards him. He suddenly appeared viscerally revolting because he remembered that he had warned them in the past not to see him anymore. "What the hell do you want from me!" He simmered with anger as they finally stood aloof from him. "We want no conflict big brother. We are simply here to explain things to you and introduce you to someone new," Frozen Claws announced bringing forward Vivian. A heavy smile emitted from Vivian's lips as she waggled closer to Clark. Clark was fascinated by her beauty and stood like a dumb landpost for a while, enthralled by her beauty. "Shadow Master, it's you, after all these years," Vivian enthused. "You know who I am?" Clark's brows creased in curiosity with a blank look. "Of course, I do, Shadow master. You are indeed a legend," Vivian retorted. Clark looked more hoodwinked than before. He knew that his past seemed to be more bewildering. "What the hell! Then who
"Jeez! Your place looks too grungy!" Joshua croaked out as he scrutinized Clark's house which looked too scruffy. "Yeah, I haven't cleaned it today. But that's not the main point. We are talking about Dahlia, the lady I told you I met today," Clark protested as they both sat down opposite each other on the armchair in his sitting room. "Ooh, and so what's wrong? You said she was pretty, so what's the problem," Joshua replied indifferently. "No, am talking about the fact that I am going to try and convince her to leave the city since she just arrived with her mom," Clark clenched his teeth. "What! No way! What's wrong with the city!" Joshua protested gritting his teeth. "Monsters and other supernatural creatures. They all exist, and I have encountered them," Clark said as he cupped his palm effusively. "That's not true. You need to learn to filter rumours. I mean it could be a new species of animals and that's what everyone is calling monsters. Thank goodness I came to investigate
"Wow, that's progress. That's exactly what happened big brother, you saved us all," Frozen Claws shot an amicable piercing gaze at Clark that made him feel more assured of his safety with them. "Yes, basically, after dying we were supposed to reincarnate, but you use your dragon aura to reincarnate us all to the future and we are still waiting for the reincarnation of our rest two siblings, Biggie and Crimson Arrow," Storm Bender fluttered his eyes lashes as he explained. "So literally we were from the past and now we came to live in the future which is the present now, but that's not relevant because when we reincarnated into this time, our present selves haven't reincarnated yet, so we can substitute for our present self through the means of reincarnation," Vivian explained when she noticed that Dragon Master was already looking lost. "We all owe it to Dad to be victorious because he had to sacrifice himself when he shut the worlds thereby capturing many shadow beasts he could all
The supernatural portal opened at the flashy mansion, and Benovio and his siblings appeared still amused about the event. "Everything you uttered to us about Dragon Master was all fibberies, hogwash and nosy ponies," Circe croaked out, casting a heated stare at Benovio who appeared to look contritely in his expression. "Well... I thought that was the case," Benovio stuttered. "Hey big sis, don't talk to a big brother like that," Sarah blurted out indignantly. Circe shot heated stares at Sacorah because of his show of indignation but was then reminded of the tenable audacity she had shown to Benovio in his presence and resolved. "Enough of this right now, we don't have time to fight amongst ourselves but to ponder a way to deal with this matter," Benovio retorted. "If Dragon master has his dragon aura even without transforming into a dragon, it means he has remembered half of his memories," Benovio mused. "That's inerrant," Sacorah announced in a musing manner. "It simply means
500 Years Ago Omaha City Dragon Master waltzed away from the presence of Frozen Claws as he watched her scoff and felt irksome about it. "Come on big brother, she is going to be here any minute. You can't keep on denying your feelings about Vivian. I mean she is also a royal, even though not a top royal, since her mother is also one," Frozen Claws teased. "I mean, even though Storm Bender, Biggie and Crimson Arrow aren't present at the moment because of their shadow duty, I can load them with news about what happens after," Frozen Claws giggled. "Well, what do I say to her?" Dragon Master massaged his temples and whacked off his mind. "Just be intentional about it and let it be genuine, remember you called for her," Frozen Claws retorted. "She has arrived," Frozen Claws announced as Vivian waggled into the entrance of their family mansion. "Just do better than hiding your feelings," Frozen Claws gave Dragon Master a nudge before she went to hug Vivian and then exited the mansio
"Come on what's wrong with whatever happened?" Joshua giggled callously and Clark's ears pricked back, as his eyes popped open in astonishment. Joshua gurgled with delight and it nauseated Clark who found it to be a grotesque act and felt Joshua was acting fortuitously. "The shadow beasts!" Clark's voice cracked as he spoke. He felt everything that every single appalling word that came out from Joshua was a sick twisted joke. His heart has fallen to a sudden state of despair as he calculates how he is going to convince Joshua to change his point of view. "Ooh you mean those Nordic beings? They are supernatural beings. Of course that has been confirmed but one thing is for sure, there are no shadow beasts in existence," Joshua fluttered his eyelashes. "What the hell! Nordic beings. But when they appeared, you couldn't control the spasming fear in your body," Clark huffed. "Yes, of course, that's simply because I was meeting them for the first time. Right now, that's not the case,
Clark's heart thudded in his chest as he strode towards Dahlia's house. Even though he wasn't sure about her house, he felt he could easily locate either her house or Dahlia herself on the way, because of the way the city had been whittled of people. He recalled the story that Joshua told him about the mayor evading the city alongside some people. He stroked his chin as he reminisced about it, wondering how it wasn't enough to convince Joshua to leave the city. Three Years Ago Mayor Orson Esher stood at the podium at the city hall to deliver his presumed last speech before resigning. His heart thudded dangerously against his rib cage as damp sweat trickled down his skin. He had an encounter with the shadow beasts recently and was lucky to escape so he was callous to the fact that he might use some opprobrious language to express his speech. Finally, a tug of reprieve etched succinctly in his heart because he knew what he wanted to announce was very pleasing. "Please I urge you
