Chapter 3

They waggled towards Clark's side and he gave them heated stares as they came towards him.

He suddenly appeared viscerally revolting because he remembered that he had warned them in the past not to see him anymore.

"What the hell do you want from me!" He simmered with anger as they finally stood aloof from him.

"We want no conflict big brother. We are simply here to explain things to you and introduce you to someone new," Frozen Claws announced bringing forward Vivian.

A heavy smile emitted from Vivian's lips as she waggled closer to Clark.

Clark was fascinated by her beauty and stood like a dumb landpost for a while, enthralled by her beauty.

"Shadow Master, it's you, after all these years," Vivian enthused.

"You know who I am?" Clark's brows creased in curiosity with a blank look.

"Of course, I do, Shadow master. You are indeed a legend," Vivian retorted.

Clark looked more hoodwinked than before. He knew that his past seemed to be more bewildering.

"What the hell! Then who was the being that uttered to me that you all were being inerrant with your facts and you all were liars and want to kill me!" Clark blurted out simmering with rage and confusion.

"What! I don't understand, who exactly said that," Vivian veins popped out in astonishment as she felt greatly indignant at the situation.

"Yeah... I mean, who would dare try and hoodwink a top royal, especially when shadow lord Electro shut the two worlds together and it's not time for the upper class of the shadow beasts to return to the battle game," Frozen claws mused clenching her teeth.

"Enough with all this tirade, it's only making Dragon Warrior get more confused," Storm Bender croaked out in a musing manner.

"I mean, this is the umpteenth time I have told us that we shouldn't be surprised anytime we have a new enemy. After all, we are top royals and this was inevitable," Storm Bender added.

"Enough! I don't want to hear from you anymore. Please leave my house!" Clark blurted out.

"But you need to see that we are your..." Vivian hesitated trying to move closer to Clark to explain details to him but was shoved back because of his heated words.

"Please leave my house because am so confused. He saved my life and turned the beasts into statues and now you are saying he is the enemy. Right now I don't trust anyone," Clark's heart pounded in distress.

Storm Bender stopped Vivian from trying to make more attempts to convince Clark and they all went together as the supernatural portal opened and they vanished from the scene.

Joshua, one of Clark's neighbours, heard his voice and rushed towards him.

"Is anything the matter?" Joshua's lips twitched upwards in curiosity.

Joshua was mostly not around and available because he was always busy.

"Nothing, I guess I was just speaking to myself and angry with myself, that's all, so it's nothing serious," Clark belied.

"Well, you should take it easy on yourself man," Joshua advised. "It's alright, thanks for showing up anyways," Clark said and huffed before Joshua returned to his apartment...

Dahlia Greer and her mother, Elizabeth Greer had just gotten to the city and were busy arranging their things in the apartment.

She was in a white flowery skirt and red blouse and was feeling very effusive about being in the city.

She went Into the kitchen when the hot kettle sizzled to a boiling point and she switched off the power to make some tea for her and her mom.

"Hey Mom, Aren't you excited that we are finally here?" Her lips curled in curiosity as she waggled towards her mom with the cup of tea in her hands and handed it over to her.

She was bewildered at the fact that her mom showed unhappiness in her facial expressions.

"You know that I wasn't supportive of our arrival to the city," Elizabeth grumbled as she took the cup of tea in one chug.

"Come on Mom, why wouldn't you be supportive about it? I mean we have been itinerant in moving from place to place. I think it's suiting enough that we have found an abode here in the city that I so loved to be in," Dahlia said slightly indignantly.

"But haven't you been hearing about the rumours of this place? Which explains the fact that the place is bereft of enough people to make a city," Elizabeth rumbled.

"Dear mom, that's the more reason why I loved the idea of moving here in the first place because it's void of shit Muppet kind of people," Dahlia enthused.

"Well, I just hope you are right," Elizabeth resolved. "Yes Mom, it's Nebraska we are talking about, so you are going to love it here Mom," Dahlia said filled with euphoria.

"Alright dear," Elizabeth resolved as she requested another cup of tea and Dahlia went excitedly to pour her another cup of tea...

Dahlia strode excitedly from home towards the shops nearby to get some foodstuffs for dinner when she bumped into a young man.

"I'm so sorry. My name is Clark," Clark extended his hands apologetically and Dahlia shook them which made Clark a bit mesmerised by her unblinking courage.

Clark knew that with the way situations were going, he also needed a walk and he mistakenly bumped into Dahlia.

"No, it's kind of my fault, I should have walked in a scrutinised manner. I'm Dahlia by the way," Her lips curved into a small smile as her mood swung from that of being sulky to being responsible for her actions.

They had both exchanged handshakes successfully. "I guess you are new here," Clark smiled broadly as he was filled with the euphoria of the proliferation of their new friendship.

"Ooh yes, I just got into the city yesterday, I and my Mom," Dahlia stuttered as her heart pounded in admiration for Clark as she gazed at how handsome he was.

"Ooh, that's cool," Clark added as he could observe that she was pretty enough also.

"Oops, even though am feeling a little bit peckish, I'm afraid my mom is famished and she would nag at me if I get home late," Dahlia annoying with a smile.

"Ooh, alright then. I guess our paths would cross again," Clark said with an act of unblinking courage.

"Of course," Dahlia said as she exited from his presence, while Clark kept gazing at her as she moved...

"We have a teensy-weensy bit frustrating problem, that's all!" Benovio roared at the top of his voice, sitting on one of the lounges in the lounge room, facing Circe in their family mansion.

"Hmm... But I thought you got it covered just as you have always had an act of unblinking courage and effusive demonstration, each time you talk about your clandestine nefarious plots against the top royals?" Circe japed, as she sat down on one of the lounges in the lounge room.

"Enough of this! We shouldn't be fighting each other now, but trying to figure out a way to deal with the top royals. After all, we didn't come all the way to become peaceniks but for vengeance!" Sacorah cut in as he stood up.

"Sacorah is right, instead of criticising me, you should be joining me to find a way to aid the proliferation of a positive progression of our nefarious plots against them," Benovio mused and Circe scowled at him.

"Well, that's always the case, simply because you always avoid us from unearthing your nefarious plans, simply because you wish to keep it to yourself, so it's no one's fault," Circe said and acted in a sulky manner afterwards.

"Alright, so I have decided we all go together this evening and we destroy him once and for all before the shadow masters level of the shadow beasts gets released," Benovio announced effusively.

"Now you are talking!" Circe resolved. A sinister glint flashed through Benovio's eyes as he couldn't help but be glad that none of his siblings was polemic to the consensus they had reached...

It had been some minutes since Storm Bender and the rest had appeared back at the mansion and they were all puzzled at what they had all heard.

Vivian was mostly quiet because she was more concentrated on the fact that Dragon Master couldn't recognise her even though she was so optimistic he would.

"I can't believe this! It's so incredulous and subtle to believe!" Storm Bender dropped his hammer as he shrugged his shoulders irritably.

"Yeah, it's so shocking that the past is catching up with us so swiftly! So really fast!" Frozen Claws croaked out in concern.

"I can't believe that he couldn't recognise me after all these years. I mean it wasn't like that the last time he reincarnated," Vivian stuttered as she looked quaintly at them as she spoke.

"Come on Vivian your past issues are the least of relevance at the moment. We are talking about the pernicious problem at hand which is Benovio, Circe and Sacorah, those three and their unscrupulous acts," Storm Bender blurted out.

"Yeah, you are right," Vivian resolved, realising that she had just acted whimsically amongst them.

"I can't believe that Benovio and his siblings would continue with their dastardly deeds and surreptitious acts, and I wonder how they are still alive when we thought they had died," Frozen Claws stiffened.

"Well, they must have reincarnated like we all did," Vivian said in a manner as if she had said it the umpteenth time.

"Of course, the only question is whether they reincarnated the normal way, or like the way we all did," Storm Bender said effusively and they all understood what he meant.

"Then what the hell are we still waiting for? We have to get back to him and explain things to him forcefully before Benovio harms him," Vivian blurted out.

"Alright," Storm Bender replied as they all gathered around each other in a circle while summoned his hammer and then the supernatural portal was opened.

They all went into it and vanished from the large flashy mansion.
