LOVE OR CROWN?

A few weeks later, Andrew was summoned to the palace by the chiefs and the kingmakers. And he was disgusted at the sight of his uncle and his son.

Twelve chiefs and the lord chamberlain circled the empty throne, while other lower-rank chiefs sat opposite them. All eyes peeked at Andrew as he walked inside, and sat beside his uncle. .

"It's been three months since the death of our king, and it's high time we have another king on the throne," the chief priest announced. He was an aged, tall and chubby man with fluffy white hair and overgrown beard.

"As mandated by the late King, Prince Andrew is the legal heir to the throne. We are here today to choose a day for his coronation and to discuss other relevant things," the lord chamberlain let out.

"I beg your pardon, chief. Andrew is no longer part of the royal family and is not legally capable of ruling as a king. Have you all forgotten that my brother disowned him some days before his death?"
