6. Fired

Ian went very speechless without moving. The lawyer looked at him and she knows that he was merely thinking about it. He needs to decide very well about it or else, he's going to lose himself.

"So, are you done thinking about it?" she asked him.

Ian swallowed hard and shook his head.

"Not yet. Can you give me a minute?" he asked.

"Sure." she just giggled and nodded.

He never thought it was that hard to decide about something. He just groaned and took a deep breath.

"It's up to you, Mr. Laude. This is your only chance to move on from your life. Your life would change if you're going to accept this." she added.

With that, Ian slowly thinks about it. He knows she was right and it's his only chance and opportunity. He can do everything he wants to and he could buy anything he wanted to as well. He can get his revenge on Sharmaine and Chris that hurt him.

"If I am going to accept this mission, I can do everything I want to. I can avenge what they did to me." he said inside him.

The lawyer was very silent watching him. She knows she needed to give him time to think about his decision.

"He's still in shock and I know he was still talking with his inner self right now." she said inside her.

Ian sighed and just groaned which made the lawyer to smile while making themselves some coffee. She knows Ian was having such a hard time thinking about everything.

"You don't need to drain yourself thinking about it, Ian. Here, have some coffee. It will help you decide." she smiled and put his coffee in front of him.

Ian just sighed and nodded.

"Thank you." he blurted.

She just smiled.

"No worries, you can call me if you have decided already. I'll just go to the balcony to give you some silent time." she said and left.

Ian just looked at her and went back to what he was going to do.

"Damn it, this is harder than I think." he groaned.

He tasted the coffee and he was impressed how it taste. While he was thinking about it, the lawyer looked at him and sighed.

"If I were you, I am going to accept this mission, Ian. You're the only person left to inherit everything. It's up to you if you wanted to waste your father's efforts and everything." she sadly shook her head and looked at the sky.

"Okay." he said.

The lawyer was disturbed and turned around.

"What did you say?" she asked him.

Ian closed his eyes and took a deep sigh. The lawyer went back to her chair and look at him.

"I'll accept this mission." he said with dedication.

The lawyer was very shocked but she was very relieved. She nodded and even clapped her hands at him. She thought he was going to turn down her offer.

"Good decision, Mr. Laude." she said happily.

Ian saw how happy she was which made him to feel true about himself and his decision.

"Yeah, It was hard for me to decide but I think I also needed this one." he blurted.

The lawyer understands him and she knows he also needs money and power to do everything he wanted to do.

"I know and I promise you are not going to regret everything. Don't worry, I am going to keep on helping you." she smiled at him.

Ian was touched and moved after she just said that. He wouldn't thought he was going to end up such a billionaire surprisingly.

"Thank you." he said.

"Don't thank me. I should thank you... for accepting this mission even it was so hard but good thing you chose not to waste your dad's efforts in building his empire and earning everything he had right now. Now, I am sure he was so happy and relieved." she added.

"I know." Ian said and smirked.

While they were talking about the rest, his phone vibrated and his leader was calling him. The lawyer looked at him and went curious

"Who's that? must be important. You can answer it." she told him.

"Yeah, it's my leader boss." he sighed.

Ian nodded and picked up the call.

"Mr. Ian Laude! where the heck are you?" his leader was so mad at him.

Ian just closed his eyes hearing his leader's shout from the other line. He even put a distance between the phone and his ear. Because of all that happened, he didn't go to work today.

"I am sorry, sir. I'll be there sooner." he just apologized.

Without wasting time, he hurriedly left the company and headed to the delivery company where he works at. As he arrived, he saw his leader talking with someone on his phone with a smile on his face. He got curious.

"Okay, I'll fire him for sure." his leader said.

Ian heard his leader say and was went curious.

"What?" he blurted.

As his leader saw him, his expression changed, and hurriedly ended the call. He even saw him getting nervous and swallowing very hard.

"Sir." Ian said.

His leader just sighed and took a deep breath like he was preparing himself to tell him something.

"You're fired now, Ian Laude. You can get your things and leave!" his leader said.

Ian was just very calm but he merely knows that someone is trying to fire him behind thinking about his leader's call with someone a while back. 

"But..." he blurted.

His leader groaned and looked at him with a despised look.

"But what? come on, Ian. You were very very late. How can you work if you are being like that? You didn't even notify me or your co-workers if you aren't going to come and work." he said.

Ian just sighed. Even his leader is going to stop him from leaving, he isn't going to stay as well. 

"Fine." he just said and decided to take revenge.
