A TASTE OF HAPPINESS

Alex immediately sniffed the air, wondering why he didn't notice the presence of another team of assailants.

“They could have left on their own,” Aridan quickly said, standing beside Alex.

“You guys can wait here, while I go search for them,” Alex said calmly, setting off in a direction.

He stood in a bushy undergrowth, just close to the edge of the valley, listening to the sounds.

He heard a familiar baby voice sniffing and perked his ears up, focusing on them.

“Shhhh! Baby shh! They could be looking for us,” he heard a woman whisper.

“But daddy is there all alone. And more cars arrived. He can't fight them off by himself. We should save daddy,” Ariella insisted.
