POISONED

Before Alex's brain could fully process what happened, the arrow left the bow under the full glare of Alex’s eyes.

The arrow which turned a fiery gold mid air hit a spot, and the cobwebs immediately scattered, alongside the chains.

Alex sighed in relief, not knowing whether he's happy because Achlys didn't betray him, or because he was finally free from his restrictions. Spiritual energy rushed back to his meridians without the restrictions holding him back, making him giddy. He quickly raised his saint Michael's sword, feeling raw power course through it.

“That weapon of yours makes me uncomfortable.” Achlys whispered in between labored gasps.

Alex quickly called the weapon back, swapping it for his twin shadow daggers which he assumed Achlys would be more comfortable with since it embodied darkness.
