But the horrifying situation which vividly played out in Alex's mind didn't happen. Achlys casually raised his sword at the last minute, stopping the incoming axe. Alex sighed in relief and touched his chest where his heart was still beating erratically.

But that small victory seemed to have set off a fire. The fight immediately broke out to Alex’s dismay, and an array of zombies immediately came for Achlys, trapping him.

Alex intensified his efforts to hack away at the chains and webs, feeling somewhat disoriented as he watched Achlys pick them off one by one, all on his own.

“These things don't die easily. Fine then, the situation can only get more bloody from now on.” Achlys muttered coldly and a black mask appeared on his face, and gloves covered his hands.
