Eleanor scoffed, rolling her eyes at his ridiculous words.

“Shut up! I have done my best to be civil and loving towards you, but you keep frustrating my efforts. Why are you pretending to be concerned about my kids when you obviously hate them? Every moment you remind me that they are the reason you fell from grace, a source of constant embarrassment for you. They might be bad luck to you, but they are my lucky charms, the most precious of all I call my own. I bless the day I met you despite your shitty attitude, all because of them.
