Another Meeting

Derek hit the brakes again, but this time it was in front of a small duplex in one of the residential areas in Los Angeles. Derek had never been to Amelia’s house, just like Sam, he knew nothing about her parents either and this was the first time he would be meeting Amelia’s mother.

Amelia alighted from the vehicle herself, she didn’t even wait for Derek to come help her like they usually do some few weeks back before the discovery of her pregnancy. They just got back and weren't in sync with their romantic routine and lifestyle.

And the worst part was, Amelia really wanted to see her mother, the way Laura sounded on the phone made her heart squeeze.

Derek followed Amelia as she walked hurriedly to the front door of the duplex and pushed it open without knocking, stepping into the sitting room, Amelia’s mouth fell agape and as Derek entered to, he regretted the fact that he listened to Amelia.
