Dark as Night

Charity's heart felt like it hit the body of her chest, someone was trying to kidnap her in blood day light? Was it because of the type of car she now drives? Was this the type of vulnerability the rich had? Charity thought as she slowly crawled into the vehicle, putting her hands in the air.

She moved into the passenger’s side while the burglar hopped into the driver’s seat. They had been waiting for her, Charity thought, because the timing was too perfect to be a coincidence.

“Just face the other way and place your hands on the door, if you do everything I tell you, Miss Charity, I promise not to hurt you, but if you try to play smart,”
