Suspicion and Curiosity

Derek could barely recognize Joseph Jonathan, his dad’s brother, the man had shaved off all of his hair and was now entirely bald, but Derek had been with Jonathan since he was kid so there was no way he wouldn’t recognize him.

Jonathan smiled, shifting his gaze to the woman that stood next to Derek. He was wearing a white T shirt and a blue Jean with brown boots, looking like a cowboy. The lady looked familiar, like he had seen her somewhere before but he couldn’t place it.

Elena smiled when she saw how surprised Derek was to see his uncle, this was the special guest she had told him about and today was the day she’d reveal all the secrets to Derek.

“Good to see you again, Derek. It’s been a long while,” Jonathan walked towards the dinning and pulled one of the chairs, he sat on it without waiting for any instructions. Today, he would have to put all of his trust on Derek.

The butler left them and returned to his duties.
