The Secrets of Jonathan Joseph

Amelia sat on the bed, after some few minutes she stood up and started pacing the large room; she was restless, but there was no way for her to eavesdrop, the glass rovers that led to the veranda would sell her out if one of them mistakenly looked back.

The rovers were so wide that there were no walls to hide behind, what could they be keeping from her, Amelia thought. She went back and sat on the bed, telling herself that she’d ask Derek when he came up.

Many things had happened in one day and they were all happening so fast, from disobeying her mother to Derek changing his mind about the abortion and now Derek and his mum were having a secret meeting.

Amelia knew that Derek and Sam had a fight over inheritance ongoing but she had no idea how she was part of the plan and why Derek had told her to keep the baby and she was only going to find out when the baby was born.

However, this secret meeting with his mother; Derek was going to tell about it tonight, no matter what.
