The Blessing of a Father

Ariana had definitely heard of her, maybe seen her once or twice but she didn’t really care about secretaries or receptionists whenever she visited her dad’s company in the past. No one needed to tell her that Emily was way older than Sam, even though she was a beautiful redhead, she was a woman so she knew.

Emily glanced at Ariana’s reaction and sighed, burying her face in Sam’s shoulder. She was so embarrassed by all these, it was as if they were looking at an abomination; something that wasn’t supposed to happen.

“We’re leaving, if this is how you’d welcome my fiancée, then maybe I shouldn’t have brought her here at all,” Sam frowned and held Emily by her wrist, ready to pull her with him as he walked.

“But you will, one day; if you really wish to get married to her,” Clinton chipped in, disallowing Sam from taking his first step towards the door.
