“Fuck you,” Ryker replied coldly, clenching his fist and narrowing his eyes at Sebastian.
“You asked for it,” Sebastian said, instantly grabbing another mug and throwing it at Ryker to distract him.
Sebastain was a black belt jiu jitsu holder and a renowned fighter in all of Crimson.
He hoped to catch Ryker off guard with a knockout strike but Ryker was quick to move out of the way, leaping into the air and countering with a kick that sent Sebastian flying metres away.
Everyone’s mouth dropped in awe.
Ryker’s move was so fast that if they blinked, they would have missed it.
Ryker himself looked at his leg in shock of what he just did.
Defending himself came as a muscle memory to him, like he just knew what to do.
Sebastian felt ridiculed and humiliated.
‘It has to be pure luck, there’s no way this scum can beat me,’ he mused, standing to his feet and grabbing a knife from one of the tables.
“You imbecile, you only just got lucky to hit me. I am going to kill you today for touching me!” he yelled in fury, storming towards Ryker.
Everyone watched with bated breath as Sebastian advanced towards Ryker.
Sara looked especially pleased.
If Sebastian did not kill Ryker, he would at least hurt him severely and Ryker would cease to be a problem.
Ryker caught Sebastian’s outstretched arm, yanked the knife from him and stabbed his shoulder with it.
“Arghhhh! You’re fucking dead, you dare to attack me?!” Sebastian yelled in pain.
Sebastian’s blood spilled onto Ryker’s face but instead of feeling disgust or horror, Ryker felt a form of satisfaction, like he loved what he had done to Sebastian.
Something about it seemed familiar.
He pulled the knife out of Sebastian’s shoulder and was about to strike him again when Sara dove in front of Sebastian.
“Stop this madness at once Ryker! Do you want to ruin my chance at a better life? Do you want Seb to abandon me so I can continue to wallow in misery with you, eh? Is that your plan?” She berated Ryker, protecting the wailing Sebastian from Ryker’s wrath.
“What is going on here?” The restaurant manager ran out, hearing the commotion.
Her breath hitched when she saw Sebastian Cole bleeding profusely with the bloodied knife clutched in Ryker’s arm.
“I’m so sorry young master Cole, I’ll have this riff raff arrested,” she said in fear, glaring at Ryker.
“Security, seize him and hand him over to the cops right now,” She ordered sternly.
“Lay a finger on him and lose your job!”
A defiant female voice rang across the restaurant hall with power and authority, causing everyone to turn to the owner.
“Oh my God! Is that not Fiona Basset of Atlas Technologies? Why is she defending this guy?”
“I heard at the young age of 18, she became the company’s CEO and is feared by all…are we in trouble?”
“Despite her young age, she has three PhDs and is a genius in business. How does she know a tramp like this?”
“Forget about her achievements and how she knows him. How can one woman be so beautiful, I will gladly worship the ground she walks on.”
“Miss Bassett?” The manager froze in shock.
The Bassett family were the fourth largest shareholders of the restaurant, she would be in big trouble if she dared to disobey Fiona.
Fiona had just finished an important business lunch with a few business partners at the Emerald Hill, the topmost restaurant of Hillbilly and was on her way out when she heard the commotion on the third floor and witnessed everything.
Sara stared wide eyed at Fiona, feeling really insecure and inferior.
She was considered a top ten beauty in crimson but was nothing compared to Fiona.
Fiona was nicknamed the Belle of Crimson, a goddess of beauty, grace and raw feminine seduction.
Sebastian shrugged away from Sara seeing a goddess like Fiona.
Despite the pain he was in, he was completely mesmerised and captivated by her beauty and he lusted after her, quickly walking towards her.
“Hi, I’m Sebastian Cole of-”
“Save it,” Fiona cut him off coldly, cat walking elegantly to Ryker.
“Drop the knife and come with me,” She said to Ryker in a straight tone.
Ryker grimaced and dropped the knife reluctantly.
He had no intentions of going anywhere with Fiona, he was just done with Sara and her lover.
Sara suddenly blocked Fiona’s path as she walked out with Ryker.
“Where do you think you’re taking him?”
Seeing Ryker with a far more beautiful and successful woman made her green with envy.
“Is this what you do now Ryker? Sleeping with rich women for money? And you,” she pointed her finger in Fiona’s face. “Don’t you have any shame, sleeping with a married man?”
SMACK!
Fiona tore Sara a hot slap that left her cheek red without hesitation.
“You have no right to question what I do with him, you already gave him a divorce and as soon as he signs it, we are getting married,” Fiona announced firmly, shocking everyone to their bones.
A knot formed in Ryker’s throat. What did she just say?
