Chapter 0013
“The elephant sitting on the tree is about to fall but it’s this little ant that thought he could use it as a shade that I pity,” He said boldly, pointing at Ryker.

“I don’t know who this loser is but those are some wise and true words,” Leo chuckled boastfully.

“Lloyd…..” Sophia tugged her husband’s sleeve. “If what Leo Yates is saying is true, we must get Fiona to divorce this tramp immediately. What use is his affiliation to the Grey family to us if their fall is imminent.”

“Miss Samantha, is this true?” Nico asked in a cautious tone, watching Samantha with a suspicious gaze.

“Save your breath Nico, the man is as good as dead,” Claudia replied sharply.

“Well, since I did not come with a gift for your engagement, allow me to take care of this scum for you,” Leo said with a smirk, looking at Ryker and he snapped his fingers.

Immediately, a tall man that looked like a mountain with bulging muscles with runes and tattoos covering every inch of his body stepped forward.

He cracked his neck both ways and locked eyes with Ryker.

“If you kneel to my master, I’ll spare you and only break your legs but if you don’t, I’ll break your legs, your arms and your face,” the man said in a threatening tone of voice.

“I’m confused here,” Ryker replied with a smirk on his face. “Am I supposed to be scared of your childish tattoos or your baseless threats?”

“You little trash, I’ll break all your bones,” The man growled in a deadly voice, ripping off his shirt, exposing his huge and broad chest with horrific scars all over his torso.

Sebastian scoffed. “This fucker’s big mouth is about to get him in trouble.”

“I just don’t want you to break all his bones Curtis,” Leo said with a sinister smirk on his face. “He must have some big balls, coming here to claim Nico’s woman as his, I want you to crush them as well.”

Curtis nodded with excitement, licked his lips and charged at Ryker.

With each step, the floor seemed to tremble. The people around watched nervously, worried they'd miss the moment Ryker would be covered in blood.

Fiona's face turned pale, and she shouted anxiously, "Run, Ryker!" She already regretted bringing Ryker here today. Maybe she shouldn’t have been so impulsive. If Ryker were to die here because of her, she might never forgive herself.

Samantha also watched the scene nervously. Her grandfather asked her to respect Ryker, and she had tried to protect him, but the situation had now slipped out of her control.

Sebastian let out a cold laugh and snorted, "I'm afraid it's too late. He can't escape now!"

Sara nervously grabbed Sebastian's sleeve. She had never seen such an intense scene. Although Ryker was her ex-husband, he had offended Nico's family and deserved his fate, in her opinion.

But Ryker just remained still, quietly watching Curtis charge at him.

"Hmph, this fool, still pretending! Daring to take my woman, let's see how you die!" Nico licked his lips, excitedly watching Curtis, anticipating the moment Ryker's brains would splatter.

The air was so still that only the sound of Curtis's footsteps could be heard.

He finally reached Ryker, and just then, Ryker suddenly moved.

A scream rang out, but to everyone's surprise, the scream didn't come from Ryker—it came from Curtis.

Like lightning, Ryker moved and in a flash, Curtis was launched into the air with a single punch, his eyes wide open in shock and when he hit the ground, he spat out all of his front tooth, blood gushing from his mouth as he gagged and groaned in pain.

Ryker had moved so fast that no one exactly saw how he hit Curtis but the man who had looked like a mountain while Ryker looked like a molehill was flat at Ryker’s feet, unable to even stand up.

“Oh, thank God.” Fiona finally exhaled in relief.

At the same time, the crowd erupted in astonished gasps. This seemingly unremarkable poor boy had actually won?

Was that even possible?

Was he really that strong or Curtis too weak?

People murmured in shock.

Samantha looked at Ryker in surprise, a glint of something unusual in her eyes. This man was indeed extraordinary. It seemed Grandpa's judgement was not mistaken.
