THE TOUR

Gina harbored intentions of once again subjecting Victor to embarrassment when Matthew's voice intervened, breaking the impending confrontation.

"Mom, Dad, Aunty Gina," he announced, "I've been patiently waiting for Diana to arrive so that we can all visit the house I recently purchased. Considering Victor's assertion that he, too, has acquired a property, let's take this chance to inspect the house he claims to have bought."

Frustration boiled within Gina as she silently cursed Victor. Her disdain for him was unmistakably etched on her face, a testament to the consistent manner in which Victor managed to put her in awkward situations.

Victor could see that but he simply smiled. Diana's worry mirrored the uncertainty in the air, but Victor's reassuring nod offered a momentary solace. As they collectively stepped outside, Matthew, wearing a proud smile, extended an invitation to Diana.

"Diana, come join me in my car here," he said with evident pride.

Matthew's pride wasn't unwarranted
