Together, they explored the outer zone and looked for children that were let loose to survive on their own.

After searching for a long time, they found one kid but he was near death and all that was left of him was skin and bones. Even his eyes were gone.

“This is horrible. What sort of beast did this to him?” Carlos’ blood boiled.

“It’s not the beast that you think,” Akira said. “This is the work of a life-leecher. This isn't a regular skill, either. The life-leechers have the capability to steal others’ vitality and make it their own virility, or steal others’ virility and make it their own vitality.”

“I didn’t quite get it.”

“Whether they drink blood, or have sex, they’re going to suck the powers out of others,” Akira explained.

“Like with the succubus demons we hear about in stories?”

“Yeah, but those demons only suck the spiritual energy away, but these gu
