CHAPTER 237

Two days later.

Carlos woke up in a small cave. He could hear Akira and Angelo talking outside.

“I’ve prepared everything. We can leave once he wakes up,” Angelo said. He looked excited because he never left the underground city in decades. He didn’t even know how the outside world looked, except for the movies and dramas he used to see in bars etc.

Akira, on the other hand, had regenerated her hands, but she looked weak. Not only had she had to fight monsters that came their way, she also hadn’t eaten anything in over three days, and that took a toll on her body.

But the strange thing was that even though she felt weak she didn’t feel hungry or thirsty for blood. This was a familiar feeling for her because she had starved many times before, though she didn’t get to fight when she starved in the past.

“I’ll give you some money,” Akira told Angelo. “Stay out of sunlight and only step out during twilight for at least a few months. Otherwise, you won’t be able to bear it.”
