The shoot finished for the day, but Charles felt more drained than the rest because he had taken a lot of takes, even though he only needed to say five lines, and they weren’t even all emotional like with Sofia’s dialogues.

Nevertheless, one of the lines Sofia told her ex-boyfriend in the movie stuck in Charles’ mind: Compared to Charles, you’re like the shit stuck at the bottom of my shoe.

In the movie, Sofia’s boyfriend’s name was also coincidentally Charles, or maybe she told the director to give that name to the character on purpose. Nevertheless, her statement made Charles feel bittersweet. If only she had valued him, her real husband, even a hundredth of the amount she valued the character Charles, he wouldn’t be feeling all alone right now, not at all thinking about his future or having a family for himself.

Once they returned to the five-star hotel, the crew asked if the young man in maroon shirt had come back, and he hadn’t, so they thought he might have just been bluffing.
