Soul Shattering.

These were all familiar experiences for Charles ever since he married Sofia, to the point even his dreams were like nightmares. Like most days, Charles found himself waking up wheezing and gasping today, not because he had a nightmare this time but because he had become a nightmare himself.

Charles looked around to realize he was in his bed. He didn’t have any blood on his hands, or his body. What happened to Narika? The last thing he remembered was he went for a bite, and then he couldn’t remember what happened afterward.

“I didn’t kill her, did I?” he rushed out to the shared balcony. The glass door was locked. He broke it with his elbow and entered the room, but she was nowhere to be seen.
